RE: Introducing Strada Magazine
Discussion
My copy of Magneto arrived yesterday and it is certainly chunky and smells lovely!
Trouble is, on first glance I can't see any content that particularly interests me and opening the front cover reveals an advertisement for watches which I do find mildly irritating for some reason.
I'm not going to go to the effort of cancelling my remaining issues but I can't see me renewing my subscription, to be honest.

There's another copy of Strada #1 on eBay with a very ambitious buy-it-now.
Particularly so when they’re still available here for a tenner: https://www.magazineheaven.com/strada-magazine.htm...NathanChadwick said:

To clarify the situation and to be as transparent as possible.
Strada did provide Magneto with a percentage of the subscription monies they originally held. It does not cover the remaining value of the subscription nor does it cover the actual cost of printing and mailing three copies each of Magneto to subscribers. But there was a commercial deal which we felt appropriate as a marketing investment. It also enabled the publishers of Strada to provide an option to its readers rather than the alternatives which would have left either subscribers with nothing or the owners with an even bigger hole in their personal finances if they had paid off all liabilities for the subscribers.
If we made an error by attempting to simplify the payment process by utlising Paypal then I apologise. But I am sure I would have been on this page defending Hothouse if I had requested bank details from everyone in order to pay directly into accounts. We held email addresses and this is a secure method of payment.
To put it in contect, Strada had around 700 subscribers of which around 80 have requested refunds. Of those I have so far had one request for payment into a bank account rather than Paypal. The silent majority appear to be reasonably happy, even though I would admit we could have done some things better. This is, after all, not something we do everyday.

I read the "who to contact" page (I usually do in case I recognise people) of Magneto and saw Geoff Love and then realised that I worked with you at Frontline back in the '90's.... anyway small world, cool story etc but good luck with Magneto. I received my copy yesterday and it's nice, not sure if it is for me in the long term but I liked the Le Mans and Campbell articles.

Small world indeed Neil. I hope all is well? I received my copy yesterday and it's nice, not sure if it is for me in the long term but I liked the Le Mans and Campbell articles.
Magneto is not for everyone, the classic car world is a broad church and it would be less interesting if everyone liked the same cars and events. We hope everyone will find some articles of interest in each issue.
I received a copy of Magneto magazine today. No.11. I've been wondering where issue 2 of Strada was (not checking my emails that I thought were just marketing fluff) so only just now seen the news that Strada didn't make it past issue 1.
Ouch.
I wouldn't have renewed my sub anyway. I was disappointed in it. I hoped for something that was more reminiscent of the glory years of EVO but it read like a single make marque fanzine like you see at airports. No actual criticism, just rose tinted "every car we feature is the best car ever" type stuff. It felt pointless.
Magneto looks interesting though, I haven't really looked at it yet.

Has anyone received another copy of Magneto yet?
I got issue 11 but I see issue 12 is out now, did we only get one copy of it in exchange for the Strada subscription?
I was thinking the same , I received 1 ages ago possibly issue 10 , I’d need to check but no others , just thought I was getting 1 copy I got issue 11 but I see issue 12 is out now, did we only get one copy of it in exchange for the Strada subscription?
Came here to ask the same thing. Have had no Magneto issues sent to me at all, and no refund given.
Guessing I should have had at least one magazine by now?
Have emailed support 5 days ago and yet to receive a response, pretty disappointing and by now I imagine far too late to get a charge back of any sort.
Has any other international subscriber received anything yet other than the original Strada magazine?
