RE: Introducing Strada Magazine
Discussion
It's humbling to see them out there. There are a couple of copies with some paper crumpling issues – please don't suffer in silence, get in touch and we can root out the problem. It will sound unbelievably corny as words on a screen, but it's genuine – the publisher is an ardent magazine enthusiast and has suffered at the hands of iffy (to say the least) customer service and on the other end of the same thread, I've had to deal with readers who've had terrible customer service further down the support chain and reached out via FB/email in desperation.
We're currently sending out the next batches/overseas sales, but we will respond. Get in touch via hello@stradamagazine.co.uk with a picture.

There are plans for a limited WH Smiths option on the cards, but not currently for issue 1 (though things may change going forwards). It's important to note there won't be the kind of nationwide distribution model familiar to my former employment - so it won't be in supermarkets, or in every newsagent. The best place to buy a copy is the website; we appreciate that diving into a year-long subscription without thumbing through a copy in a shop first isn't ideal, so we are offering free shipping on individual issue purchases in the UK, so you can get a taste of what we're about. However, there will be some independent shops stocking it (Magazine Heaven, for example), and in the USA it'll be in Barnes & Noble, as well as other international markets.
Good news Nathan. Best of luck with your new venture. Magazine Heaven is just up the road from me, so I dropped in yesterday & yes, your'e in the database, due imminently! Obvs I couldn't wait, so as an ex Modern Classics subscriber, I've just signed on the dotted line. Looking forward to the first issue.

I had a single crumpled page, but think it’s a real top quality effort. Haven’t read any of the articles yet, had a quick flick through from cover to cover and hardly any adverts - a few cars for sale and all interesting ones, great selection of cars featured in the articles and I’d encourage anyone thinking about subscribing to give it a go. I also subscribed to MotorPunk and was sad it wasn’t able to continue and this is the first thing I’ve felt compelled to subscribe to since.
Best of luck with it!

Are they open at the moment? I'd have thought wandering in would be the 12th?
I'm based in Peterborough so it's become a wonderful if expensive point of pilgrimage.
They've been fortunate to be open throughout on account of being a 'newsagent' (albeit a rather posh one). I often find myself succumbing to the more technical Race Technology magazines, the likes of which I've never seen stocked elsewhere, as well as the low volume quality motoring magazines. Your new title will fit right in and I hope attract a lot of buyers. I look forward to picking up future issues and start reading them upstairs with a coffee and one of their posh sarnies on the go I'm based in Peterborough so it's become a wonderful if expensive point of pilgrimage.
Cafe upstairs is now open for takeaways - I was in there yesterday hunting you down. Well, not you personally, the magazine I mean....Chs, CF

Thanks again for everyone’s kind comments.
I’ve done a podcast with Headboltz which explains a little more about the project.

This looks good, and would love to have a look. But, for me, you’ve got the same problem that Motorpunk had - your GBP30 subscription (which I’d be happy to pay) goes to GBP70 to post outside Europe - that makes it nearly 20 quid an issue...
Is that postage right, as I do like a printed copy? Otherwise any chance of a digital version that I can download to print?

I've noticed this morning my copy has a couple of crumpled pages. I'll drop you an E-mail.
Otherwise a beautifully presented and put together magazine and I look forward to getting stuck in.
Well done.

Is it possible to buy from a shop (whsmith etc.), or is it subscribe only?
I'm afraid nationwide distribution just isn't feasible, though we may be in select WH Smiths in future, subject to demand (certain airports/railway stations etc). However, we are in a number of independent newsagents, such as Magazine Heaven (https://www.magazineheavendirect.com/magazines/details/14633b5a-2103-4b9a-889e-74c49b0efbf4) or you can order direct from us via https://stradamagazine.co.ukPomBstard said:

I'm afraid digital just isn't for us, it's not what the magazine is about – you do get value for money; each issue is a little over a kilogram, hence the cost. Is that postage right, as I do like a printed copy? Otherwise any chance of a digital version that I can download to print?
Should dissuade the dog from attacking the post box...
