This looks a good clean away from being really rather nice.

Sunroof untested? It's not hard to test is it, so assume borked.

Nice car. Agreed, why not just say the sunroof doesn't work? Instead of some contrived line? Silly.

I suppose for a home trader you're better off not even touching the button - just leave it and assume it's broken.

Still, a capacious Volvo with bum warmers and warbly 5-pot for 1700 quid. Seems like a bargain.

Yeh, if it gets stuck then you have to fix it and putting money into sunroof repairs is not good business. Wouldn't put me off.

But surely now attention has been drawn to it, it's the first thing that'll be checked, whether bothered or not? It all seems rather pointless.

I don't like sunroofs. Just seem like they always go wrong at some point. I have used mine on the Lexus once and don't think I'll use it again. That said, I prefer peace and quiet, so I never even drive with the windows down.

A bit of red tape over the button and a stern warning to the wife and kids to not push it. That'll sort it. They'll definitely not push it. Nope.

I'd love a row of switch blanks that read DO NOT PUSH.

It looks like I'm going to have to bend over and take one, and try and get it plugged into STAR.

Unless anyone in thread has access to one, or knows of one, vaguely in the South Yorkshire/North Derbyshire area.
You would have to find a supplementary excuse to get yourself over to Chester, if you want to use mine.

What's that worth with the bodywork repaired (properly)?
Cat D aside it's got average mileage and the usual XJ roof lining issue, but the colour, condition and spec look very nice.

Asking prices seem to be between 3 and 15k (though I am not sure if anyone is actually paying the toppy prices) at the moment so I'd guess it would be a 5 - 6k car if it weren't Cat D

V8 X350 for what they're actually worth here

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202104241...

It's the 3.5, but it has a more "wafty" torque curve than the rev happy 3.0 and of course that lovely V8 noise.

Lots of these are likely to have had paint though?

This is another on my "keep an eye on" list. The black interior makes up for the dull silver IMO.

I am clean-shaven when it comes to Alpinas but that seems reasonable value to me.

Looks very good value at the moment. Lots of PH history.

I'm sure JeremyH6 is available. It's not another car, it's an investment.
