stud conversion kit instead of bolts
I had to change a wheel on my Lancia Integrale recently - was quite shocked to find bolts not studs/nuts - it made putting the wheel back on a complete PITA... Are stud conversions a generally available thing?
I'm sure there'll be kits for your Integrale
I investigated the squeal that the CLS front passenger glass made intermittently, this week.
Despite internet assurances that the entire inner door panel had to come off, and praise-be to my aliexpress trim-pry tool set, all it needed was the door speaker cover prying out and the speaker un-torxing to remove, and there was the window mechanism, just begging to be generously lubed.
Ten minute's work, but massive levels of pleasure, because I now feel like the barge and I understand each other just a little more.

That Omega looks cracking value and sure you could run that for a few years, keep the mileage <100k and make a tidy profit, if it’s as good as it looks.
(Now if you don’t mind I’ll just quietly snigger in the corner at the very unfortunate number plate...)
Come on Sten, where's the forecourt shot?(Now if you don’t mind I’ll just quietly snigger in the corner at the very unfortunate number plate...)

On the way to spend thread money on a barge.
Unfortunately not to buy one, but collecting my S6 from 'the man' following a service.
When you're told you need to discuss costs and details in person, that's always a good sign right.. Right?

Arnott air springs - is there a thread approved supplier of these or it a ECP job?
The Viano needs a couple, it is no barge but a saggy Benz seems to be a common topic so I thought I'd check first.
I purchased mine last week via a reseller on eBayThe Viano needs a couple, it is no barge but a saggy Benz seems to be a common topic so I thought I'd check first.
Went onto the Arnott website to get the correct part numbers and searched eBay
ECPs prices were a piss-take last time I looked

If I was in the market for another car I'd have this and keep the plate, I've been called worse (Now if you don’t mind I’ll just quietly snigger in the corner at the very unfortunate number plate...)

I know this is nothing special but I've got a real soft spot for big old Vauxhalls and I'm struggling not to go and have a look at this, even though I've got no need for it. Can't be many tidy low mile 3.2 versions left. I had a 2.2 CDX a few years ago as a shed and it was a lovely old thing to drive, so comfortable.

I passed my test in mk1. Albeit that was 2.0 Manuel and lpg'ed. To say it had no power it would be an understatement. It probably had no power as the accelerator pedal could only be moved 1% as it was learning school's vehicle. On the good note it felt so soft.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202106214...

I hope it works, but my ex (now Miked Knight) CLS had two replacement window mechanisms by the time it was 10 - starts squeaking but ends up sounding like there’s gravel in the door and the window won’t move. Common problem - new mechanism each time but there is a DIY fix using cables which I was never brave enough to try. There is one CLS in the family. It had three times window mechanism replaced on two front doors. It probably starts squaling before the cable snaps. It also likes rear springs and is on a third pair now. It is in a sorry state anyway...Despite internet assurances that the entire inner door panel had to come off, and praise-be to my aliexpress trim-pry tool set, all it needed was the door speaker cover prying out and the speaker un-torxing to remove, and there was the window mechanism, just begging to be generously lubed.

Previously it was the throttle bodies - which are hilariously expensive from Audi, and after being fitted turns out weren't needed, just the wiring.
A bunch of suspension(bushes, bearings, cv joints), exhaust and oil leaks have coincided, plus brake lines are perished.
I'm looking forward to the exact quote, so I can start a tyre recycling centre, park it in the middle, and set it all on fire
