Spotted at a car show yesterday. For sale the old fashioned way with a bit of paper stuck in the window. Over thread budget though.

My second car on the right...........Hillman Avenger Tiger...........OJS792K was mine............... £900 in 1978 when I bought it..........I killed it unfortunately through a fence down a 6 foot drop and ended up on its roof........next day my mate and I recovered it by rolling it onto its roof and driving it across the field onto a trailer....happy days

Nice write up by the owner. I've been driving through the holiday crowds at Matlock Bath the last few days in mine and the amount of attention it gets for a very conservatively styled three box saloon is amazing. I've felt very conspicuous 21st Century Man said:

I've always liked the S70 in sportier trim despite it being somewhat overshadowed by the estates.

Didn’t quite manage the ‘golden hour’ shot but enjoying putting some miles on the SL during these glorious evenings:
Me too. Today I took it to get the parking brake adjusted, FOC which was nice. Then to another place to get tracking and alignment done. Even though they checked both axles the rear was fine so only charged for front, £30. Getting a quote for alloy refurb and it's booked in for AC service hopefully that's not ruinous then it's probably up for sale.
Had to drive with roof up part of the time as I was getting burnt but good thing is all side windows can be dropped for max airflow.

Definitely the best way on a roasting hot day.Getting all the windows down is one of the joys in a convertible but out on the open road I need the front ones up to sustain any kind of conversation.
Just a brilliant car to enjoy to the full in this weather.

Love the car, not the seller.
