Best smoker barges 1-5 large [Vol 19]
Discussion
Fairly locally, I have this available for £4k...

That's the BMW 4.4l V8 that I had in my E39, but does it have a chocolate cooling system?

Tommo,
Where do I look for general info on these things? I'd like waft with good economy and reliability and toys.
I have two main sources, Goo-Net it's like a translated auto trader for Japan and is good for pictures, can also quote for an inspection if you want to do it yourself. Where do I look for general info on these things? I'd like waft with good economy and reliability and toys.
Then TorqueGT give their customers access to a car spec database, but it should be the same as places like this: https://www.auto-data.net/en/toyota-brand-40
More personally to me because I am addicted to Crown's, (like a crack addiction ) I have a small but growing collection of original Japanese sales brochures for various Toyota's and a few other compendiums of specific Japanese cars (like Soarer's, RX-7's etc)

I take your point, but in general I'd much rather see a decent service history from a marque specialist than anything else. It would be pretty unusual - and very possibly unwise - for an owner to keep using a main dealer for routine servicing once a car is getting on a bit. FDSH

I think it's more the "FSH" or "FDSH" bait being used incorrectly...Certainly winds me up that "FSH" simply means a record of all the services, not that it's been serviced properly

nice little smoker - looks pretty good condition, and no rust on the arches - £2450
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202106163...
the 350 - that have those balancer shaft issues.
to be honest if the air con and electric seats and brakes work, its cheaper for me to buy that, than get my shedSkoda fixed!
i think the rear seats fold down too for bigger boot, unlike the 55
The balance shaft issues were ironed out late 2007. this should be ok.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202106163...

In fact, this will be better than ok. much better build quality and rustproofing from 2005 facelift. My own 2009 model had perfect bodywork. The interiors are quite nice and rolling around in a pillarless coupe with all the windows down is quite nice in the warm weather. This being the 350, the 0-60 dash is pretty brisk. The only real fly in the ointment is the high mileage near six hundred quid for VED!
Non car types tend to think they cost way more than they do.

is there an overpriced car thread with the least amount of effort in the advert - jeez

I've just spotted this glorious thing up for slightly over thread. The MOT history isn't horrendous and the parts to fix the misting non ABC dampers aren't expensive. Assuming there are no nasty oil leaks from the engine, this would be a nice thing to woofle around in.
I just punched the details in to a well known comparison site to get an insurance quote as I am tempted. Noting that I will effectively have no NCB as I cannot use my 25 years+ on two cars and also including the same yearly mileage as my other car. How the heck is this thing cheaper to insure than my diesel Skoda Superb?

That CLK looks quite striking in red. Looks poor value compared to the silver one though, despite the 500 engine and cabrio vs coupe, doesn't it?
What can I say. I'm a sucker for a bright red V8 convertible. This also happens to be probably the most bork resistant way of owning a mercedes V8. No ABC. No air suspension of any kind. Proven (if lethargic shifting) 5 speed 'box. No balance shaft issues. Proven V8 lump up front.
And it's a bright red V8 convertible. Did I mention that?

I asked a local MB specialist for a quote and 3 pleasant surprises
1.) it's only c£200
2.) they checked the MB online service history and it was done about 20k miles ago
3.) they told me not to waste money doing it again yet
So far the opposite of my S6 experiences, it won't last....
