What estate would you look at for £5-8k? A non driving enthusiast friend fancies a comfy “Premium” upgrade to his ancient mondeo.
You'd think that if driving (and therefore presumably handling) isn't important, the world is your (fridge-carrying) oyster.
Comfy, auto, and reliable are the criteria.
Skoda Superb.
Oh yes, I like that suggestion. He will probably like it as well!

^ That Merc has been for sale since time immemorial.

SB123 will love this. Naturally it doesn't tell the whole 3.2D story...

Not sure, I just checked the MOT history. It's a stinky diesel.

It's a pity the Mondeo is so sneered-at generally. If Ford had stuck a massive V8 in it it would be hard to beat. There's someone here with a Mondeo Vignale estate in metallic bronze. It looks fking brilliant.

I don't believe that it has. It's just been through a couple of owners since first offered for sale a couple of years ago. It's the 'Fisherman's Friend' vehicle.

I can’t decide whether I like or really dislike the colour combination on this Lexus https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202107205...

Is that condensation on the inside of the rear screen in that pic..? Or just deceptive and they're using photos from January....

Probably just dew on the outside, photos may have been taken very early AM, hence the angle of the sun.

Interior yes, exterior no.
Interior would be a yes in a dark car, but it's a no here.
The exterior is a definite no. No redeeming qualities at all.
The combo of the two is just about the least appealing mix one can think of.
0a, you should buy it...

I really like the colour combo, it's beguiling from the outside and oh so right and welcoming when the door is opened.

Apropos JRG, I think that this Roller from today's 'Classic Car' themed Goodwood Breakfast Club speaks for itself.

Putting it diplomatically; I was a choir boy and that was my teacher's car, I would not accept any lifts.

On the fence then CDG!

Ross what colour is your interior, and would you recommend a 460? What are the common issues (steering column?)?
