Interior would be a yes in a dark car, but it's a no here.
The exterior is a definite no. No redeeming qualities at all.
The combo of the two is just about the least appealing mix one can think of.
0a, you should buy it...

Ross what colour is your interior, and would you recommend a 460? What are the common issues (steering column?)?
460 is a very, very good car. Really quiet, competent and effortless. One could potentially argue it hasn't got the character of some of its rivals but I think they get under your skin. I'm really enjoying mine.
Steering rack, radiators can fail at 100k or more and leave coolant in your gearbox (had my changed out of precaution). Mark Levinson amps can fail, but can be rebuilt. Erm. Oh, the Glovebox lids become loose, they all do it, including mine. It doesn't rattle though and you don't really notice it. Can't think of any other common issues. Engines seem to be robust, gearboxes seem the same. Despite air suspension I don't think it's common for them to fail. Just the steering rack I think, which is a biggie.
I've had mine for 2 years in. November, it hasn't let me down, yet.
This seems cheap, although the MOT history betrays a world of pain:

That looks lovely from the pics despite it being a stonechip away from the scrapyard if you look at the MOT history as you say.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202108015...
E320s of that vintage would have had headlamp wipers and walnut dash as standard - that one has neither. Odd spec - expensive air con but no leather - could be a foreign market RHD car imported sometime ago. Asia maybe. Humid, tropical climate helping the onset of rampaging rot?

^ That Merc has been for sale since time immemorial.
I don't believe that it has. It's just been through a couple of owners since first offered for sale a couple of years ago. It's the 'Fisherman's Friend' vehicle. nobrakes said:

The binoculars/CLS cup holder won’t work in a 211. BM links to the correct version, which pops up from a stowage box, but it’s really designed for LHD cars and proffers your drink right where it obstructs the steering wheel. The pop out one - looks like a recipe for me to spill it over the gear linkage control module….
I might take the plunge though.
Many thanks.

I had hoped the pictured one would have worked, but further tiniternet photo search shows the difference in center consoles between 219s and 211s. Shame.

I've got one, and frankly I think it's a bit rubbish. Never feels very competent at holding your beverage of choice in a safe position, a feature of its LHD design. Occasional use only. Plus as Bolidemichael says, it stops you fiddling about with the Airmatic settings easily when in use, a cardinal sin!The pop out one - looks like a recipe for me to spill it over the gear linkage control module….

As I've had a busy busy weekend away from the thread, making space for pending arrivals, I'll have to squeeze my Friday and catch-up in to the next 10mins, while I eat my breakfast and wait for the first Teams call of the day, by quoting this lovely picture of a red classic Mercedes...Sort of thread related, my wife received a council ticket at the train station car park for the rear of our van being over the lines, but the spaces are so short she had no choice without blocking the path. Contesting that is another fun job I could do without when I have such a busy yet exciting week lined up.
A quick google suggests my T5 is shorter than something like an LS430, so I wonder if you barge owners have ever experience anything similar, or maybe she was just the victim an overzealous traffic warden? The tyres were not over any lines.
Can someone help me out, did Jag ever do a Safari version of the XK8?

What estate would you look at for £5-8k? A non driving enthusiast friend fancies a comfy “Premium” upgrade to his ancient mondeo.
You'd think that if driving (and therefore presumably handling) isn't important, the world is your (fridge-carrying) oyster.* Reliable as in no better or worse than anything else out there, at our bottom-feeding budget. I've lost track, but have had 5 or 6 V70s over the years and have found them to be completely dependable and affordable to maintain as long as you keep on top of things and find a decent specialist.

I was being a bit disingenuous, it was the cheapest TDV8 L322 on the market, still well within thread even with a healthy budget for titivation.http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/2021072855...
