Congratulations Emeye. I look forward to hearing more. Have you bought the pair?

Right.

This filthy pair turned up Tuesday evening.

If there is one thing my parents taught me, it was to never agree to purchase an old car from a fella living abroad sight unseen. Especially if he claims to be a Prince or King or a deceased President of France.

<snip>

Merci Monsieur le Président and all those threadists who offered their help to get the cars here. Vive la barge.

To be continued....
Bravo Sir Bravo

What you can't see is Malcolm in the middle.
and there is the reason I can't watch breaking bad. I can't imagine seeing him as anyone but Hal from Malcolm in the Middle, or at a push the psychiatrist in Curb

If only. No garage and the catch 22 situation of needing the potential classic barge pennies to fund the building of the new carport/garage.

I suspect it would rot over winter, especially if sat around outside on the side of a hill on the edge of the pennines.

I will be attempting to help it find a new home though - anyone interested - it's gorgeous?

Good one Emeye; that colour on the Lex looks great and doesn't it have a green digital clock?

Awesome. So glad this didn’t get traded in.

Look forward to regular updates and even more regular forecourt photography.

In a “weird twisty curve ball which life occasionally launches” manner, I will shortly be departing the UK for Lux, returning tomorrow, no quarantine, and all 100% legal wink
Where are you going? Got time for a beer?
Can’t remember whether I mentioned this but after I retired I got my HGV licence, just as a bucket list thing. A good friend has a global relocations business so occasionally when he’s short of drivers I step in on a hobby basis. So that’s me trucking to Lux today, and because I’m working in an exempt industry I don’t have to quarantine.

Thanks for the kind offer. That would be good but I’m not actually sure where I’ll end up tonight yet, due to lengthy waits for customs clearance vs driver hours. Probably/hopefully not that far from the airport, which is where I need to swap trucks to return to the UK tomorrow, but all tbc later once I get closer. If I do make it to somewhere feasible I’ll drop you a mail.

If you end up at Windhof that's walking distance from me. I'm 25 mins from the airport so do let me know and we might be able to RV. Have a good trip.

:-) I understand that. I have no idea on the values of these but no harm in having a chat if you want to keep it out of the elements while it’s being sold.

I can help too if required. It would be outside but tucked away in a residents' car park. As a man of leisure currently I can be the salesman if needed.

Be careful what you wish for, you might fall in love. All have done is move it around on the drive and I want it even more - that V8 burble wobble

Frustratingly my wife, who told me the other day that I was the automotive version of one of those crazy cat women, would be all up for me having it if I could make it work.

I wonder how quickly and cost effectively I could build this carport? scratchchin
