Right.
This filthy pair turned up Tuesday evening.
If there is one thing my parents taught me, it was to never agree to purchase an old car from a fella living abroad sight unseen. Especially if he claims to be a Prince or King or a deceased President of France.
<snip>
Merci Monsieur le Président and all those threadists who offered their help to get the cars here. Vive la barge.
To be continued....

Congratulations Emeye. I look forward to hearing more. Have you bought the pair?
Please say yes! I suspect it would rot over winter, especially if sat around outside on the side of a hill on the edge of the pennines.
I will be attempting to help it find a new home though - anyone interested - it's gorgeous?

In a “weird twisty curve ball which life occasionally launches” manner, I will shortly be departing the UK for Lux, returning tomorrow, no quarantine, and all 100% legal
Where are you going? Got time for a beer? Thanks for the kind offer. That would be good but I’m not actually sure where I’ll end up tonight yet, due to lengthy waits for customs clearance vs driver hours. Probably/hopefully not that far from the airport, which is where I need to swap trucks to return to the UK tomorrow, but all tbc later once I get closer. If I do make it to somewhere feasible I’ll drop you a mail.

If you end up at Windhof that's walking distance from me. I'm 25 mins from the airport so do let me know and we might be able to RV. Have a good trip. Emeye said:
If only. No garage and the catch 22 situation of needing the potential classic barge pennies to fund the building of the new carport/garage.

I can help with the Merc. If you get stuck send me a message.I suspect it would rot over winter, especially if sat around outside on the side of a hill on the edge of the pennines.

Frustratingly my wife, who told me the other day that I was the automotive version of one of those crazy cat women, would be all up for me having it if I could make it work.
I wonder how quickly and cost effectively I could build this carport?
