Final one from me, as we're trying to bring this one to a close for Vol. 20 and cars and cats are easy to mis-type, here are the (very) little ones under my care at the moment - and others - hopefully these photos will bring many as much joy as looking after them is bringing me. Doing this has certainly kept me going through some dark times when I feel like giving up!

I’m much too hard and grizzled and windswept to tell you that I love kittens. So I won’t tell you.

Ditto.
They're definitely not very adorable and cute....

Lovely wee things.

I made friends with some Robins in my garden, and got quite pally with a wood pigeon. Then a cat started to visit me - what a delight.
Then the cat brought a dead pigeon to my front door as a gift.

It can go wrong pretty quickly.

Nope, definitely not cute at all.

To be clear, are these dark times when the ELO is playing, or not playing? laugh

Cheeky sod - as it happens, when they're not playing - had a bit of an (out of tune) sing along when the Volvo headunit burst in to life... quite enjoyed myself, actually! laugh

By way of a counter point, I fking hate cats.

The adorable little kittens temporarily excepted of course... but they all grow up.

All cats are b'stards however they will unfortunately lull you into a false sense of security with their cuteness and then when you least expect it rip of your head and st down your neck (OK maybe your slipper)

Still a cat person but you just need to be careful they are really really fking devious

Bit like a barge really - the leather and opulence lulls you into a false security that nothing can go wrong then the SBS sts itself and "your man" says open your wallet and takes all your cash and the fking credt card and leaves you with a huge debt and yet still you justify the situation because barge

I recorded some music with my band earlier, and the producer had a lovely Cockapoo there. Growing up I never really had dogs around me but he was a really lovely and lively thing called Milo. After diverting to Tesco on the way home to get some lairy beers, someone overtook me on the motorway roundabout and a loud thud hit the rear drivers-side of the car which st me right up! I then drove home rather pissed off that this chav spec 51 plate Astra had done me and disturbed the vehicular harmony I was experiencing at the time.

Sorry to hear of your accident 428.

Old Vauxhall Astra’s are the car of choice for scumbags.

On the police Facebook pages it is always an old Astra pulled over for drug driving, no insurance, bald tyres etc.

I normally don't like that shape/era of GS, but you have shown me the light with a perfect colour to wrap it in.

Dogs in the studio? Suppose it could be a confidence-booster! With my allergies I don't fancy trying it just before a take though.

Thia really has been quite an amazing volume. As ome of our main contributers said more than a couple of times, "Thread's gone weird." smile

Some wacky diversions into unknown territories, debate over the validity of our Friday fillies, and more importantly an impressive haul of forecourt shots and new barge ownership. Special mention to Lord Vader for really pushing the boat out!

It's been a very rough year barge-wise for me. Been deprived of mine for half the time due to circumstances. Lots of things borked and subsequently repaired.

Hoping that the next volume will bring more entertainment and good fortune to all who participate in what is (undoubtedly) the best thread on the whole forum.

I didn't quite read this correctly- you've been pranged by some scrote? Sorry to hear that, hope you got the plate.

I have been looking at the Bornite 300 E but really, it is silly money, is it not? That kind of money buys a much more competent car, surely? Like Mr W201_190e, I wouldn't mind a nice w124 saloon but there is nowt out there at sensible prices. I keep pestering Oa about his smoke silver E320 but he is hoarding all the good cars for himself. The problem I really have with 124s is they are not that fast and I quite like going fast. Nor are they so very refined, and as I get older I find the long journeys which I enjoy so much are taking much more of a toll on me.

Why oh why did I ever sell the E430? Surely it would have been more sensible to fix the rust and enjoy it.

Guide price 700-1000.

Sounds about right, so why is it at an auction and not just in the free ads?!??! I find the current trend to try and auction any old pile of ste seemingly “just in case” really quite laughable.

How can a dealer sell this for £6k when it doesn't seem to have been serviced or MOT'd for over 3 years?

https://www.winchestercarsales.co.uk/used/mercedes...

Apparently it comes with a 3 month warranty and has passed a 50 point inspection test...so I'm sure it'll all be fine!

It looks tidy enough, if not the most exciting of colours.

It's on bumtree too.

It obviously isn't laughable for the aution houses otherwise why would they bother?
Corporate thinking had to hit the used market at some stage. We "had it good" for so long in the UK as private used buyers. Will be interesting to see if this is a pendulum swing or just a blip.

More expensive jungle juice in the V70. £97.03/61.83 litres of Esso Supreme 99 (going through it at 21.4 MPG. It cruises dangerously well at triple figures on the motorway - sat on 44.8 MPG during this too! Also edging closer to 160,000 miles - I just hope the rattling and knocking from the suspension will stay at this level until the MOT expires in January.
I was going to say the best way to deal with rattles is to turn the music up then realised it was you smile

That's how I have temporarily fixed my suspected noisy wheel bearing.
