Its not wildly priced at all - given similar VXRs on AT with double the miles for only a smidge cheaper and similar (and marginally higher) upto £1k more.
Not shocked at the scorn for a vauxhall here though - the derision for the brand is constant.
As a household we at one point had his and hers VXRs (Astra and Corsa) and they were great.
The Vectra VXR is massively rare for a real one, yes this would be more desirable with the correct wheels but they arent a bad steer at all.
EVO magazine were pretty enthusiastic about these. Only ever driven the later Insignia turbo on track - VXR Trackday - and that seemed pretty decentNot shocked at the scorn for a vauxhall here though - the derision for the brand is constant.

Never had a problem with six new Vauxhalls. Mrs WR bought a brand new VXR Astra Artic in 2010 for 16k and sold it back to the same dealer last year for 9k after 25,000 miles. They sold it a week later for 11k.
I’d imagine it’s quite a blast to drive.
Very practical.
The tax is a killer, but you need to consider it’s only a couple of tank fills more than the next bracket. It does limit appeal, but that’s not the cars fault.
Anything that goes wrong would be cheap to fix, so not too many brave pills required.

There’s a lot of hate for a lot of brands on here, but it’s starts out like this then turns into something else 5 comments later.. where you’re from, what you dress like, class..surprising considering we’re all petrolheads apparently? Not shocked at the scorn for a vauxhall here though - the derision for the brand is constant.
And then BANG before you know it you get accused of being a self employed builder for liking a VXR

I like a Vauxhall, but they're best as cheap transport. Things like this will always suffer in comparison to a fast Ford. I've always found Vauxhalls to be reliable, easy to work on if something does go wrong and cheap if you have two pay someone else to do it. This thing is only a brave pill if that price doesn't hold up - no real risk of borkage

VXR days were awesome, I miss them. Had plenty of fun on various circuits in the Corsas and Astra's mainly. Insignia felt a bit bargey for me but agree quite decent cars.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
