What's the forum jury consensus on this ?

Ferrari shield in black ,not the usual yellow .Is this a Ferrari option ?..Tried looking on the Ferrari configurator but it always confuses me and I give up .

I think it looks okay .

I started what I thought was a light hearted thread and had hoped to see even more chuckleworthy examples of automotive tat than my own offering.
I'd no idea that tat would evoke such a serious discussion.

Me neither. It does seem to generally a certain demographic that get all annoyed by some Scandinavian teenager. Personally, I decided long ago that wasting energy on random strangers who I'll never actually meet is a futile exercise.

Touche laugh

At least I didn't add it in and I do think it is a bit naff.

True. I had the same car and it was so good I didn't really care about the interior!

I think it's annoyance at the machine behind her. They tried the same thing with David Suzukis daughter twenty or so years ago.

Bloody hell, that's a lot of fake m3 bits then!
The tatty wheels and rear arches gave it away. Even though it's all fake it still costs quite a bit, the wings and bonnet alone would have covered the cost of upgrading to a 330 or 335.
Someone in the next road to me had a 520d that they slowly added/swapped M5 bits onto. They must have spent a fortune, then it got clamped for being used without VED. What's that on a 520d circa 2010, £200/yr? Mad.

Agreed. Have fake CF inside my AtR and it's not the thing I like most. Would prefer fake granite.

Years back bought a SD1 with a large plastic cowling/blind type of thing on the outside of the rear window . It was like being in cave ...to think people actually used to pay money to fit this stuffspin

It's completely pointless, probably adds about as much downforce as those car eyelashes mentioned above. In fairness BMW do actually sell tat like that under the banner of "Performance" parts.
They're not designed to add downforce, little lip spoilers like that are supposed to direct the air flow up and away from the back of the car. They help to smooth off the detachment of the air rushing over the car, rather than having it tumble into the churning, drag inducing low pressure zone behind the car.

It does look crap though and is undoubtedly stick on tat.

It’s actually very interesting that so many “petrol heads” actually do not put premium fuel into their cars - rather cheapest supermarket fuel.

I see them as just a bit of fun. The car is going to get used, sticker or no sticker so it’s a lost cause as far as Greta is concerned.

Perhaps Extinction Rebellion ought to put them on every fuel pump.
