These are mine and they undoubtedly automotive tat that I couldn't resist from AliExpress. My S Class is super sensible and fuss free, my old Mitubishi Shogun is quite the opposite so can't take itself too seriously! haha That's my excuse anyway. biggrinbiggrin

There’s a particularly unpleasant trend in the Tesla sphere of sticking SpaceX badges on the back.

These things.

If I was a copper I'd nick anyone who has these hanging off their mirror and then haver the car crushed.

‘4D’ number plates. It’s also on my list of early warning signs that it’s likely to be driven by a throbber.
If it’s on a BMW I believe it’s a prerequisite.
Same for those tinted grey number plates.
Perhaps that's where you guys live. The overwhelming majority of BMWs still have the original dealer or the supplying s/h dealer plates where I am.

No I meant its a good throbber indicator. Not BMW exclusive.

Those silly eyelashes haven’t been mentioned yet....

Bonnet bras deserve an honourable mention but they’re popularity appears to be dwindling.

Automotive tat?

- “4D” or gel number plates
- tinted number plates
- cut down number plates
- overly bright cool white LED number plate lights
- a soft toy or similar hanging under the rear bumper
- bonnet bra
- baby on board/moron on board sign
- chrome wiper arms

As a Jag botherer, there's loads of tat available.

My S-Type came with seven superfluous "R" and leaping cat badges. Removed them all. It has also got wind deflectors, but I'm finding those quite useful for parking in the sun for reasons mentioned above.

Thankfully, no leaping cat mascot to contend with on the bonnet. I wouldn't have bought it if it had that on.

The previous owner of my car saw fit to install these lights on the underside of all 4 doors. It’s a 320d.

I cringe every time I get out of it in the dark, and hope nobody sees.

Yeah that was my thinking.....actually no it wasn't I didn't have a clue! haha

Although I've put two of them in the glovebox and left the 'hear no evil' one out. Mainly as he looks like he's covering his ears due to my interesting music tastes! haha

Stick a piece of black tape over where the light comes out, and you won't have to cringe any more. Either that or you could replace them with ones which project a badge saying "320d" for a more ironic effect....

I’ve been trying to find the standard clear lenses but it seems you can only buy the whole unit at £30 a pop. Not sure the cringe is enough to justify £120, so tape it is.

Bloke across from me bought a fifteen year old Focus and instantly put a bonnet bra on it. Why...?!
