"A taught chassis","a flair of revs","a heard of cows", ...

Can forgive most things as I am not perfect and if its understandable then I can live with it and prefer not to look a tt correcting spelling or grammar.
However, bought and brought used interchangeably is like nails down a blackboard, like chewing tinfoil to me.
"I brought an Xbox", go on then, plug it in to the television and we will have a go, if they are not holding said console, then they probably meant they purchased one, not that they have one with them having moved it from one place to another, and are therefore a cretin.
I get language evolves, and can live with folk doing a "Resonator Delete" rather than removing a silencer, can even cope with folk saying "Guys" as a way to address a mixed group and "can I get doesnt" make me wince any more.
But, brought in place of bought will never be right, brought has an extra letter and completely different meaning. A friend of mine spells it "baught", just havent had the heart to say anything, he does get the meaning right though to be fair.
