One Britain, One Nation Day.

Christ on a bike, what next?
Tractor production numbers? Bozza playing golf and scoring a hole in one with every shot? Cultural re-education centres?
Do we even need this type of forced nationalism thrust onto the nations children?

It's something else for lefties to get angry about, when they're not taking the knee.

Disliking you country might have been optional.
Genuine question - how does one dislike a "Country"?I can't think of a single country that I actively like or dislike. I might like/dislike the views, attitudes, behaviours of some people within a particular Country but is that liking/disliking the entire Country?
That's why I'm struggling to understand the purpose of OBON - my guess is that it's intended at inclusion and celebrating shared values which i don't think anybody would argue against. I don't think it's meant to be Nationalistic, Jingoistic, "We're better than Johnny Foreigner" tub thumping exercise which is what the UKIP types might be assuming.
Anyway that's my interpretation - others might disagree

If that's your best defence then we can all conclude One Britain, One Nation is utter bobbins! One Britain?
Does that include all the devolved nations? I'm assuming this has been run past the separate communities of Northern Ireland? Isn't Wales a Principality? Scotland is a country, so surely it should be One Britain (United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland), 2 countries, one Principality and a Province/Country/Region/Occupied lands One Nation?

Happy to be corrected but I suspect that’s exactly what the OP thinks and I’m going out on a limb to say they are very unlikely to be a UKIP voter I can't think of a single country that I actively like or dislike. They want all schools to stop at 10am on Friday to sing their song.. Something they've been pushing since at least 2019, but suddenly this year it gets approval and endorsement from the government.
Although they've done so little research about "One Britain, One Nation" that they haven't noticed many of the Scottish schools have closed for the summer by then, so won't be part of it.

Neither will NI - not being part of Britain. That leaves Wales and England for the One Nation Day.They want all schools to stop at 10am on Friday to sing their song.. Something they've been pushing since at least 2019, but suddenly this year it gets approval and endorsement from the government.

Can you imagine trying to get teenagers to sing that rubbish? Good luck They want all schools to stop at 10am on Friday to sing their song.. Something they've been pushing since at least 2019, but suddenly this year it gets approval and endorsement from the government.
