I own the only (according to howmanyleft.com) WK2 Overland 5.7 Hemi registered in the UK. It's no rocket ship, but progress is effortless and the V8 has loads of character. It's refined, comfortable and feels well built. Everything works. Only does about 16mpg, but it has LPG which lessens the financial hit.
there is at least one other - IIRC there was a red/burgundy one for sale in Colchester earlier this year (Aprilish?)Being one of the lucky people to have one I have been (pleasantly) surprised that there have been a few advertised recently for more than the original cost price. The rarity alone probably helps but they are one hell of a car. They really aren't that cheap inside - I had a RR before it and yes, the RR (L322) probably had better quality leather and possibly better quality plastics but was it better put together, I'm not so sure. The Jeep is miles cheaper to run though in servicing and reliability (5 year warranty).
No idea about the "Goodness only knows what it might be like on a typical road." - yes, they are hard but they need to be with the weight and power but it's no worse than many sports cars in that respect. Handles well and goes like stink.
As for MPG - averages around 15-16 (mix of driving) 18-20 on a run and very easy to get down to 12. However, a RR diesel wasn't exactly economical and the Trackhawk is rather a lot more fun
Oh - and it does all the day-to-day stuff with no effort at all and in comfort.

These are savage cars and there are some videos on YouTube of modified ones demolishing high end super cars.
They sound epic and have some presence. I'd love one. It would smoke a G63, but probably wouldn't do the off-roading so well (not that either of these would really see muddy fields!).

The Brabus G-Wagon would be the one to get, if you want truly insane or live in Dubai. 800 & 900HP versions I believe.

A bit of light upgrading gets you the same or more out of a Trackhawk.https://www.brabus.com/en/cars-for-sale/C4S029.htm...
There is a PHer with one that I think is over 900bhp

I just clicked on that link and i never though I'd see the day when I'd think a Jeep looked nicer and more classy inside than a Merc...https://www.brabus.com/en/cars-for-sale/C4S029.htm...
As an owner of one of these I can correct the record on some of the observations.
1st the ride is excellent, within what you can expect from a car this size and weight.
2nd the interior is a fine place to be with no evidence of these so called cheap materials. The bottoms of the door cards are a bit scratchy but that’s it.
3 on a twisty road I’d like to see an Urus keep up…

No idea what the article means by suggesting the ride is poor - I've never found that. The missus also reports that it's as comfortable as any other car we've had, although in fairness they've always been a bit sporty. We've done 600 miles in a day with no aches and pains, and had there not been a lockdown we'd have done a monster euro-tour in the summer; I certainly find it extremely comfortable. Very useable/accessible power too - just press the loud pedal and off it goes Difficult to think of a journey where the pedal hasn't been planted in the carpet to induce a grin (but only for a VERY sort time, before crazy speeds come up).
But while the article says only 20, I thought it was 100? Anyway, still a rare animal and I remain surprised at just how many alleged petrol heads have never heard of one.
