Why!? Just change your name to Ed Cheeseburger Jr The Third and buy some cowboy boots. This will no doubt be bought by someone to park next to their Harley (with patent leather panniers) and a "Let's Make America Great Again" flag. Utter nonsense. Shame on you.
Hmmm; spoken like someone who hasn't a clue.I love them but the only chap I know with one does own Cowboy Boots and loves Elvis, nothing wrong with that but definite shades of Yee Haw going on which I don't mind but lets not pretend folk don't assume you "Like American Stuff, Honk Honk".
They need to not have chrome wheels or any other American stuff, no USA number plates or flag stickers beyond what came from the factory if you want to minimise that, if you dont mind crack on.
Briefly had a Z06 on my short list when I was in my small car big engine phase which ended in me getting an SLK55. What turned me away was the risk of catastrophic engine failure through valve drop - including class action law suits in the US (so can't be just the 1 in 10k probability) and the mental fuel bills this would generate.
Overall, if a C6, then a Grandsport. Same wide body, much more reliable engine.

You sound like a youngster. When you grow up these things will make more sense to you. I guess I fall in to the category you mention, I have a Dodge Challenger, cowboy boots, it's parked next to a Ferrari. It's not nonsense and I'm not ashamed, just having some fun. Life's short.Owned one some ten years ago. Fantastic car. Masses of shove and character and an engine that revs out beautifully. I'm not particularly an American car aficionado - it remains my only American car - I bought it because it drives like a European car. The handling is terrific - better than the Nissan gtr I owned afterwards. As for fuel, it averaged about 21 mpg which is the same as my 997 carrera s. No one seems to criticise those for thirst. The width combined with LHD is the only reason I possibly wouldn't go back considering the roads around here. Then again, I've been looking at c7s recently...

Ad says: “Full MOT history.” Yippee.
But there’s no ref to service history and the dealer has edited the ad template so it excludes the number of owners. Sweet.
Thanks for the heads up / advertorial, PH.

Yep agree - "full MoT history means nothing at all". Maybe some of the PH owners of the car know the history better than the dealer. But there’s no ref to service history and the dealer has edited the ad template so it excludes the number of owners. Sweet.

Is that wheel horsepower? Taking a 505bhp motor to 564whp without forced induction would be quite phenomenal - not impossible, but it would certainly need more than a cam/intake/exhaust to achieve that. Can you enlighten me?Power/value ok-ish, but somehow I can't get myself in such Corvette...
I've been in such as a passenger twice and owned for a short period a trade in Corvette (older type), long time ago, a earlier model,
but no, there is something holding me of to buy one, and now its not the money, they got not much attraction to me, although some materials used and such engine are great, its something else.
Maybe a C1 or C2 Restomod could change my mind though.

I would absolutely love one of these in my life.
I've always really liked them for sure.
If I could afford to run a fast car today, it wouldn't be anything from Audi or BMW et alI've always really liked them for sure.
Give me Mustangs, Corvettes, Challengers etc all day long doesn't even have to be that new! (I wonder if you could have something older like a C3 or C4 as a classic that wouldn't cost the earth?). They're not the last word in anything when it comes to performance cars (though the Vette might want to have words there) but I don't care.

That was maybe true of the C4 and earlier generations of Corvette. But the latest Corvettes (especially the Z06) are serious sports cars. They're not just for the "show and shine" brigade. What would you suggest as an alternative for £35k that gives similar levels of performance?
