Lovely and so different to every other bore on the road these days.
Agreed...

I've always thought these seemed like alot of car for the money after I read what were the differences between a standard C6 and a Z06.

Why!? Just change your name to Ed Cheeseburger Jr The Third and buy some cowboy boots. This will no doubt be bought by someone to park next to their Harley (with patent leather panniers) and a "Let's Make America Great Again" flag. Utter nonsense. Shame on you.
Please can we bring in a new rule strictly stating you need to be over 18 to be a member on PH?

Miss my old one, probably my favourite car I’ve owned to date. I’m sure I’ll have another.
Great fun to drive and perfectly happy on track.

Also note, these are fairly lightweight, which seems to be often forgotten.

Amazing cars that will genuinely give a 997 GT3 nightmares, I loved my uncles one he had some Texas Speed upgrades Cam valve springs & a full Borla exhaust system, I was very sad when he sold it as I really enjoyed driving it, until I he informed me he'd replaced it with a Mustang GT350R which really took it to the next level.

But for 35k you'd be hard pressed to find a better sportscar for the cash an Evora would come close but the 7.0 V8 would edge everywhere.

Yes, yes; 1400kg, 500hp, V8-y goodness...

What we're really talking about is:

Ah, I thought I recognised that turntable and barn!

It's the same dealer I bought a Hilux from a few months ago. Seemed a nice and genuine pair of brothers, with some seriously tasty exotica on their books alongside the many pickups

Is that wheel horsepower? Taking a 505bhp motor to 564whp without forced induction would be quite phenomenal - not impossible, but it would certainly need more than a cam/intake/exhaust to achieve that. Can you enlighten me?
We measure in crank hp in the UK.
Yes indeed, my lack of clarity has been assuaged by a previous owner. My question was driven by the oddity (to me, at least) of recording engine (crank) horsepower, using a device that measures wheel horsepower. I'm assuming that some fangled reverse-calculation is performed to arrive at that value...

Correct. Very different cars for different tastes I'd suggest.
Still be the Corvette for me. smile

Proper focused driver’s car and one I’ve always considered the best of the various Corvette generations. You do have to buy carefully with the LS7 but the fix (so far as you deem it necessary) isn’t that costly. Otherwise very reasonable running costs despite the performance.

Comes with lots of racing pedigree with the C6r being one of the most successful gt racers of its era. Shame the C8r has gone flat plane as I’ll always miss the sound of the big V8s at Le Mans.

You ignorantly overly generalize. And, these things are great for getting away with an abortion before some Texas idiot sues you.

A Chevy ("GM") is a stupid OHV lump of iron and many of them, which provide years of service, are. But the ones that are aluminum, and are tuned to perform, really rip. Buy one.

I'd argue the case you'd have to be insane to NOT see this as a great car to own and put a smile on your face.
I agree... cool
