I had a 535d before the Superb, and now have an A6, so I'm definitely in that group.
The BMW drove better and was about the same in terms of thrust, the Audi is naturally slower as it has about 70hp less, but feels like a much more mature car with better NVH. Despite a lot of the tech being shared between both, it was more reliable and intuitive in the Skoda.
The Superb was overall the best car of the three though, and I miss it more than the 5-Series. I won't miss the Audi when it goes.

None of my friends or colleagues that have currently or previously owned any of the above would of considered a Skoda Superb.

Smooth & comfortable on the UKs downtown Mariupol road surfaces.
Serviced every couple of years
Changed the rear pads diy this year/rear springs last year @ £175 as one snapped.
1 x cam belt & waterpump after 6 years
That’s all.
100% reliable
WBAC 6k, so under 1k a year depreciation
I want a new car but can’t part with it
Will keep for 10 years hopefully, a record

I think my next car will be a 190 Tdi 4x4 Superb estate.
Have a large selection of diesel Skodas in work, our normal pool cars are Rapids but occasionally drive Octavias and Superbs, really like all of them, much better than the Astras and Insignias. We have a couple of VWs in the family and the Skodas are every bit as good.

I so nearly went for a 4x4 one of these as my daily workhorse before ordering the V90 CC. If they'd offered a "Scout" version over here I may have been persuaded.
I had a petrol estate (200 hp I think) a year or so ago from a bodyshop and it was lovely. Comfortable, rapid enough for our congested isle and it averaged 40mpg without even trying.

I've had a couple of these now, both Saloon 2017 TDI 150s but one in Sportline DSG guise (low miles) and the other SE L with a manual (high miles).
Concur with other posters, one of the duller forms of motoring but absolute fantastic commuting tools. IMO the ropey SE L manual was better, not pretending to be something it isn't and I could get 73MPG fairly easily up and down the motorway.

They briefly did a version a few years back that was similar to the Octavia Scout but it was called 'Outdoor'. Yeh seen one in the flesh, they are haldex 4x4, they are an audi a6 alroad competitor don't know if thats why they were canned. I know the octy mk4 is sold as scout in europe but not the UK this time round.The Octy scouts from mk3 seem sell well as service vehicles for ambo rrv but not seem many private ones, I looked at 184 tdi one 2017 white seemed a popular colour even non service car.

Made it, but felt a lot lighter when I dropped it off.
