Common problem on the 106/Aygo etc. The seals are crap.
A full kit with new thicker rubbers for the doors and rear lights is around 75 on eBay.
Alternatively you can just get the new foam/seals for the rear lights for around 25.

The 106 is a proper pug.

After months of procrastination, I've gone full retard mode and therefore I type this from coach A of the 1230 LNER service to London and, all going to plan... in about 4hrs I'll be headed back north on a 7hr drive with my new, not so sheddy, 90's retro cool purchase. However, whilst I'm rather excited, it's bittersweet as it does mean my beloved old V50 diesel will have to make way for said new arrival. On that note, if anybody is within willing distance of Edinburgh and is in the market for a well used, but pretty unflapable 2007 V50 2.0D, remapped obvs, with good MOT and nothing significantly wrong with it for shed money, I'd be happy to pass on the baton, more so to save me having to list it and deal with the muppets that frequent the usual classifieds.
No mate, I don't want to swap it for a stolen Staffie and a half eaten kebab... even if she is the mother of your 8 kids.
What could possibly go wrong...
Hi Davie, could you send me some details of the Volvo V50 as I could be interested. Commuting from Glasgow to Edinburgh in my current steed is proving rather costly, and I’m sure the Volvo would be a lot cheaper, whilst also being a comfortable place to travel the miles… Thanks…No mate, I don't want to swap it for a stolen Staffie and a half eaten kebab... even if she is the mother of your 8 kids.

Been looking at 207s for the next shed,
i bought a 2008 207 1.4 hdi about a year ago, no issues this year. Clutch slips a bit and no service history, but starts every time and get around 50 mpg. Got the mot next month but will keep it, drives really well for small car but great in car parks and city driving. Some [censored] sideswiped the Ibiza yesterday in the supermarket car park. Looking at the height of the paint transfer was definitely an SUV of some kind. Most of that should buff out and not much of a dent.
From a shed mentality point of view - I'm not overly bothered. The bodywork isn't perfect anyway. If they had left their number I would probably have rung them and said don't worry about it
I am, however, extremely pissed off at the sheer lack of respect of driving off. It's on the back door along to the arch so a good 18 inches of contact, difficult to claim you wouldn't know

I was at the supermarket yesterday and watched some very overweight lady struggle to get into the passenger seat of the car with her door pressed hard against the car parked next to them.It was the fact that she didn't even bother to try and avoid banging into the car next to her's door, just saw it as an inconvenience as it stopped her opening her door wide enough to get her fat ass in.
Lack of respect for other peoples property, it is utterly shocking.

Some people just don't think. I constantly chide the wife for her lack of care with coats/handbags near other people's cars. It was the fact that she didn't even bother to try and avoid banging into the car next to her's door, just saw it as an inconvenience as it stopped her opening her door wide enough to get her fat ass in.

A young lad parked next to me the other week and the wind blew his door as he opened it. He looked mortified as we got out of the cars and he looked at the scratches on my door. I just explained they were already there and not to worry about it. Bet he was worried about the effect on his premium, the look of relief was palpable
Have a new shed project to fiddle with over the summer.
One of the joys of shedding for me is finding leftovers in the real shed to tart up the automotive shed.
This weekend i was able to give the car its first wash - found a few more stone chips that i might touch up if i get bored, but one bit i noticed was the state of the M badges - I found some left over plastidip and gave them a couple of light coats - look a lot better now. Was going to order some new ones, but even on ebay they are around £10 each with seems a bit daft for a shed badge - will live with these and see how i get on
Before
after
While I was at it, the high level brake light had a broken lens as someone had overtightened it - removed, glued and refitted. Also took the opportunity to straighten the rear number plate as the previous owner had drilled the holes wrong and was crooked - it made my teeth itch every time i saw it
Best thing about all these jobs - other than having some peace and quiet to "faff" for a couple of hours - total cost was £0.00

You could have saved some time and effort by tossing them in the bin, but each to their own.One of the joys of shedding for me is finding leftovers in the real shed to tart up the automotive shed.

But then i would have to had to remove them and clear up the residual mess - decided that was more work and it is a M-sport model, so technically they are valid, if a little chavvy!

I was offered a 2008 Ford Fiesta yesterday.
It belongs to the daughter of a well off retired bloke, who made lots of money setting up and selling business. His daughter decided to drive it with no water, and subsequently 'it won't start Daddy'.
So they have gone and bought a 2017 Mito, and are no looking to just get rid of the Fiesta off the drive.
Total cost to me - just take the thing away.

I guess there's a chance that a headgasket & cyl head skim might be enough?
I don't like cars that don't have a temperature gauge. The gauge on eone of mine is known to be a bit fake - but even the slightest move above normal tells me to stop immediately. And on the landrover it tells me that I've either blown the fuse on the fans or I need to top up the coolant a bit. It leaks.
