I’ve also been told about a Rover 75 Contemporary with the 2.0 BMW engine FSH and owned by a Rover enthusiast.
Also that Volvo XC90 from High Peak has been sold.

Even though you won't use marketplace there must be a family member or work colleague who can have a look for you .

I’ve had a look on Gumtree and found a few okay cars tbh. I take it no one is keen on the Rover 75?Even though you won't use marketplace there must be a family member or work colleague who can have a look for you .
It's no good having a rigid list of requirements , lower the risk by getting lower mileage and by going a mainstream brand spares are cheaper but at some point you have to actually go have a look and feel how it drives .
I test drove a Rover 75 estate diesel a few years ago and liked it.
The seat was comfortable but seemed to get me in the back of the thighs somehow.
Economy good, nice cabin in you can stand the retro look of the dash.
Wife point blank refused to allow it - she was 55 at the time, so 25 years too young for that image.

Aaron if the digits in your username are an indication of your age then I strongly suggest you find one reliable car and just stick with it. Way cheaper on the wallet in the long run, I speak from experience. Good luck with the L322, braver than most of us!
I'd owned about 30 different cars by the time I was 30. All were old sheds, but so much more fun than just buying one sensible practical car and keeping it. You sound like my Mum Maybe I've just gotten boring in my thirties but owning the same thing has it's appeal. Ah well to each their own

They are, other than being stung by one of two cars I've never lost money on a shed when I've come to sell it. Some have paid for themselves one or two times over when I've gotten bored and shifted them on for the next itch to scratch. Besides, the fun of trying all sorts of cars is worth any costs incurred. Aaron,
I also find your car updates fascinating, especially some of the really interesting cars that you get to play with (I like older and quirky stuff!). However with the many insurance changes does it cost much in cancellation and/or admin fees - or do you negotiate them away?
Sorry to be nosy - just interested in how much extra (above your core premium) it costs each year - in case I can find a cheaper route and follow your lead! The last extra/spare car I had was an annual premium of just £120 which was great. However the admin cost to change vehicle or cancel was £50-£70 I think - and whilst not massive values, paying another 50% plus ruled out for me the point of having a cheap car.
Love to hear any tips for keeping cost to change down.
I think you can cancel for free in the 14 day Colling off period and just pay for time actually insured. From the rapid fire updates, I suspect Aaron keeps some a lot less than 2 weeks I also find your car updates fascinating, especially some of the really interesting cars that you get to play with (I like older and quirky stuff!). Up until end of last Year I had owned THREE cars for the precious 24 years, on my fourth one now.If I had kept the one I sold last year it wou.d have been 20 years old now.

The MOT History is spot on tbh. It’s had £700 worth of work, new tyres all round, brake pads, discs battery, alternator, thermostat, new brake pipes, wax oyxl. He’s asking £2500 on a 04 it’s a Contemporary SE with every extra on it. It’s from a private seller too.Do you have the reg? Whats the MOT history like?

Ignoring the bonnet shut line, which is a disgrace, I thought you wanted lots of load space with good access?

I had one. I don’t think I would have another. Parts are expensive and to change the headlight bulbs it’s ridiculous.ferrisbueller said:

I would ideally like a V70. The Petrols seem to be hard to get hold of and I don’t think a diesel would be good for short mileage.
