Another purchase inbound for me! Next Saturday though and I'm already itching to pick it up. 2002 Mercedes S Class S320Cdi Long wheel base. A mere 220k miles on it. Will be putting 12 months MOT on it before I collect
Is it a Chalcedony blue rear end and chalcedony blue extra front end? hehe
For 500 quid with 12mths mot it could look like a patchwork quilt for me smile

That looks like someone perished halfway through buffing it up!

A handsome thing for £1500.
Really, really like the E36's.
Had an M3 Evo a few years ago but any model is a really good looking car.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I find the E36s one of the most bland looking BMW ever boxedin
Yeah, but what do you know? smile

That 320i has gone already, btw.

The E36 and its admirers don’t necessarily do classy, but hell.

For me there's a bit of a dotted line between the E30 and the E36 that marks the point of 'modern cars'.

The E30 belongs to the 02 Series and the E21, but the E36 belongs to the E46 and E90 and F30.

A bog-basic 3.0 E36 M3 saloon in silver, with sunflowers and no spoiler, and black vaders, would be a nice Christmas present thankyouverymuchindeed

I'll buff the rest! It looks very different colours in different pictures so I'll see what it looks like in person and update everyone

You're never going to buff it good, I'd just enjoy shedding around in comfort and not giving a fk. Anyone who doesn't make way for this is asking for trouble.

There's a real charm to its roughness.

A decent lap around the 'Ring in a C107 500. Just buy CdG's and you could do this too.

I’m generally a “I don’t like equipment” sort of chap.

I have to say, I really like two features which are new to me on the LS430.

Soft closing doors. I had always dismissed there as the ultimate gimmick; going too far for the sake of it. But now I like being able to just vaguely close the doors and have them chiiiunk shut on their own.

Keyless entry. It just works. Getting keys out of your pocket is a bit of a pain once you are used to not having to do so.

In the HATE category is not having proper dials for ventilation. It’s infuriating to have to manage this through the touch screen. Totally distracting and over complex.

That's the original shape.

The new back end came along with a different, smoother profile to the DLO (go on, CdG, ask), among a lot of other changes, so you can tell from the side aspect, not just from the back.
