I've said repeatedly that the caravan driver was being a tit, but I think the truck driver choosing to deliberately have a collision with him was a poor choice.
And it was a choice.
The caravan driver also chose to have a collision. And it was a choice.
Admittedly there was a difference between the 2 drivers, in that the caravan driver was too stupid to realise the choice he was making.

If this happened years ago would be interesting to know the real outcome, although I don't suppose we will.

Give it a rest guys.
We went around in the same circles for pages and pages years ago when this actually happened - utterly pointless doing it again.

Many of us dip in and out of PH, and so just because we weren't active on the day or two it was discussed previously, doesn't mean we're excluded from voicing our opinion of it a few days/weeks later.
Your inappropriate attempts to police the thread is a worse crime. At least the comments about the incident are on-topic.

Going back to the caravan V Small truck debate, here's a contrary opinion no one posited yet.
The blue people carrier had a biggish gap, could he not have just lifted off the gas and the CRV/Caravan could have slotted in?
...and the truck was tailgating. The blue people carrier had a biggish gap, could he not have just lifted off the gas and the CRV/Caravan could have slotted in?
But as others have said..."when 2 idiots meet"...
If you've missed your turn off, or are just trying to jump the queue and barge in you don't just move into a lane that already has traffic there - especially so if it's a HGV. The truck could have conceded the space, but why should he? It wasn't him making the mistake. Caravan car was unbelievably stupid and holds far more responsibility for the crash as he's the one that changed direction.

To avoid a crash inconveniencing thousands of people just so that he doesn't lose one place in a queue of traffic? To help somebody out so they don't have to sit stationary in a live motorway lane?
Even in purely selfish terms, he's delayed his own journey by probably at least 20 mins sorting it out, maybe an hour+ depending on how that caravan and vehicle are now wedged against the barrier.
