I'm guessing steering lock was engaged, and the driver didn't think to turn the key.

I suppose the car was probably a write off anyway, and the Land Rover didn't look to receive any damage.
There is no key, it's a card and a button. I think, anyway.

What 38 year old is called Albert? That's probably enough to mess you up on its own.

Does that mean you cant unlock the steering if you have no power?

That's certainly the case on our Mazda CX5, discovered when battery drained completely owing to someone leaving interior light on...

I'd love to know his reason why he did that.
The Suzuki Vitara gives him a sense of power that was threatened by the overtaking ambulance.

After extensive profiling of Stanley, I'm afraid no trace of reasoning or rational thought could be detected.

The steering was working fine when the AA towed him!

The first clip is worth a watch, especially if you're a cyclist.

Unfortunately scooterman seemed unhurt, only damage being to the presumably stolen scooter and the car he rode into, so not sure there is much satisfaction in it!

Rufford Ford just shows how stupid so many people are. I don't expect people to understand how an engine works but it's flipping obvious if you've a smallish car it's a dumb move.
More small city cars get through unscathed than 3 and 5 series BMWs.
