Stopped watching, I can't stand dheads that write their own st all over videos + sound effects etc
White lines?, what white lines. Death wish.
It often seems to be assumed that 'it's fine, it's their lives' but at those speeds a head on could be fatal for the occupants of the oncoming car. Totally selfish behaviour.

If not killed, they'll end up as soup enthusiasts.

Or indeed other road users not in cars.

One from a bicycle ride, and it certainly was nothing like as bad as what was displayed above. If I had to guess panic braking causing a loss of control?

Whereas this... No crash, but no consideration.

Absolutely, or pedestrians for that matter. Just that the other traffic in the biker video was mainly cars and it is car occupants who are assumed to be safe.

Lot of the usual driving into when they could have stopped also.

7.55 - what a muppet straight-lining the roundabout in the white car. Back to driving school I'd suggest...

Normal everyday occurance for people to straight line a roundabout, I followed a driving instructor giving a lesson other day, pupil straight lined the roundabout! rolleyes

Driver got lucky here, if the bollard hit the front not the back of the car(if this Ami counts as a car), I'm not sure it would have been survivable. Strong bollards though!

So, driver keeps going round a corner trying to get it onto 2 wheels, then eventually tips it. What a knob!

Indeed, why do people post up dashcam footage when they are just as much to blame as the 'offender'?

+1 Absolute prick! Right on the limit in a built up area with pedestrians. He should be prosecuted for that! Bellend

Bit of a guilty pleasure of mine watching these dashcam videos on Youtube. However, I've spotted quite a few common trends:

1) Any form of overtaking is seen as wreckless even though I've seen numerous examples of the camera car being overtaken in a safe manor and then hammering the overtaker with abuse. I guess looking at the 'why does nobody overtake' thread explains a lot of this.

2) About 80% of the accidents / incidents shown could have been avoided by taking evasive action. I understand that it can be annoying if someone is trying to force into your space but my primary focus when driving is making sure I get wherever I'm going safely and without incident. It seems a lot of people are that struck on 'being right' they're prepared to put themselves in a dangerous position to prove a point. Odd!

3) People stopping for ages after a near miss. So a car pulls across your path causing you to stop, said car moves away but the camera car sits there whinging and moaning for 30 seconds in a vulnerable position irritating everyone around them until they pluck up the courage to move away. Again, very odd.

I find myself quite often thinking "that could have easily been avoided". I'm by no means a perfect driver and therefore make mistakes now and then but a lot of these cammers seem to drive around seeking out trouble. Seems a bit strange to say the least.

Number 3 is one of my 'favourites'. Pause for dramatic affect and all that. I'm just wating for the DCW to get rear-ended! Most incidents are nothing much at all either.
