I strongly suspect something has gone on prior to the clip starting. There'd be no reason for either of those blocks happening, especially the 2nd one, unless there's more to what we're seeing.

Ah okay no sorry you're right, I missed the first block, I thought that was the second lane disappearing, not the truck moving out of its own lane.

Interesting that this thread seems to be dying a death just when Dashcams Exposed are seemingly pumping out a compilation every couple of days.
It does but more quantity means lower quality. People just get bored of idiot DCWs beeping anyone who makes a tiny error of judgment and watch fewer videos as a result. These videos started off as crash videos but quickly ran out of content and became minor driving error videos. Most are very poor (the videos) these days.

Now those clips really are insane.
I shouldnt laugh but the Porsche (I think) driver starting at 4:35 manages to take out 2 bikers separately. laugh

Thats where I stopped because half an hour is far too long for these type of compilations.

The first one, the absolute prick totally deserved it but that's no way for a jobbing driver to behave:

I'm struggling to see what the camera car did wrong there - there was a very valid short overtaking lane on the exit of a roundabout (where he was blocked by the tt in the HGV), then he tries to overtake once the central reservation ends to again be blocked.

What am I missing?
Watch it again, there's only enough lane to overtake the first truck on the first attempt, the white line between the truck and cam car finishes, it then narrows down to one lane and a new lane comes in from the left. Truck driver correct, cam car ballsed it up and forced his way in between the two trucks (who are also too close together). Then it looks like there's enough room to pass the truck, but for some reason the camera car holds back then tries a few seconds later.

Things like that first overtake happen all the time in a truck, the truck driver was the worst of the two idiots and completely out of order responding the way he did.

Trucker was right in the first one, as the outer lane ends as you say. He didn't block him deliberately, he was just continuing in his lane and the other lane ran out. But the wild swerve to the right when he went for the overtake at the end was bang out of order. Maybe the car had been blasting the horn and flashing his lights at him after the first one so the trucker retaliated? Meh.

First overtake was perfectly legit, trucks should have left more room. A slight misjudgement of the amount of space to pass both, a minor mistake with no consequence that caused no issue to the truck in front (if anything the one behind might have needed to brake a little). The block of an otherwise perfectly safe pass is outrageous, and I'm not going to assume anything happened prior because we could equally assume nothing happened given the lack of any evidence. Truck was an absolute weapon and needs his licence removing for a while alongside a suitably painful fine. There's no excuse for deliberately hitting another vehicle unless it's a life or death scenario.

That last one confused why do people do this? Best outcome, you annoy the trucker yet still waste a load of your own time. Worst outcome, DWDC if it makes it to the police or a load of inconvenience getting your car repaired if the truck doesn't stop in time and, er, smashes your back doors in

Nice appropriate number plate though. It had to be a black RR didn't it?

That's my view also. I still watch the clips when YouTube recommends them but spend most of the time muttering "well what did you think was going to happen?", "that's just where the traffic merges, why are you so upset?", "maybe don't floor it towards roundabouts?" and "why did you go across/the wrong way round that roundabout?!". Occasionally "why are you fannying about there, if you are going to overtake then bloody well get on and do it"

It's quite rare to see something interesting now.

Agreed, most of them are just clips of the sort of mildly inept and hesitant driving you see every single time you drive somewhere. The DCWs seem to go puce with rage over the most everyday things, I always think that if you really struggle that much to cope with driving you should be on the bus.

Good God!! I can't see how some people were not killed or seriously maimed in some of those... The one where the police man is talking through the window and them the car is smashed into, he must have had some serious injuries.

Similarly with the one of the car in the left land, over taking just getting hit head on... fk, that's scary!

My bet is that the trucker pulled out of the truckstop, which is just prior to where the dashcam footage starts, in front of the knobber and then antagonised the situation by sticking to the 30 limit through the industrial estate.

Another 30-60 seconds of footage at the beginning would reveal all.
