No debate whatsoever then - just LOL? It used to be possible to have opposing opinions on things without trying to cut people off by trying to denigrate them. From memory i recall that used to own one. Perhaps you still do and that may be swaying your opinion in some way? Nothing wrong with that at all, but it would be useful if you would present your reasons for why you like them so much. I've stated that I don't like the exhaust note and the strange mixture of engine smoothness that is more akin to a 6 cylinder engine but without the improved soundtrack. If you could enlighten me on how to resolve that I would be very interested because the lack of it was the only reason I sold it. I may be persuaded to buy another one because in all other respects I find them pretty compelling.
Forget about soft tarty cabrio version. Delete first silencer/cat. Gut rear silencer. Fit KW shock absorbers. Fit bigger wheels and tyres. Get geo set up properly. Delete stereo. Still interested?

They do have quite a muted sound but as 4 cylinder turbos go they do sound good on boost on full throttle - you can tell it’s highly engineered and pushing out lots of power (but ok sounds a bit crap compared to a 6 or 8 cylinder Porsche!)

Definitely. Add in all carbon panels, complete interior strip out, massive engine tweaks (450bhp min), Cup 2s, quick rack steering with PAS delete, removal of all dash trim as far as possible, lightweight glass, upgraded LSD, loads of body strengthening, sunroof delete and bond in panel, big brake upgrade, 3 way KWs, short shift, race seats, harnesses and bar etc.

Then you have a 944 worth driving. smile
