£99 to fill up!

Time for a clarkson smug face meme again lol
anyone can buy an Tesla mate we just don’t want to!
And how much do you pay each month to own or lease it, out of question?
If you believe the government will keep the RFL for electric cars at zero forever then you’re deluded or a fool. They won’t let that income from fuel duty or the RFL be lost without finding a way to replace it.

Fairly sure that's the (comic) intent of the post that you've missed. Long term of course not but the longer the sweet fuel duty money is rolling in the longer the they can subsidise EVs. Of course the duty per litre won't change when fuel prices go up but the VAT will.

Our time might be better spent on questioning why a price rise predicated on the false premise of a fuel shortage is not only still in place but getting worse.

Stating the obvious, but I'd be much more interested in seeing the price of fuel reduce such that the £99 limit was sufficient for most. It doesn't look like that's happening any time soon though

At £1.50+ per litre, I nearly reached the £150 Shell Pay at Pump limit this morning. Wasn't even V-Power! eek

105 litre tank. I'm good for another 450 miles though.

My 1 series took 70 quid of 95ron the other day....gulp.
It cost me £64.68 the other week for approx 3/4 tank of super from Costco in my M135i...

The F2x has the "bigger" tank as well at 52l, a whole 2l more than the E8x or F40...

£78 in theory should do a completely empty full tank at £1.50/litre

£99 was only just about enough to fill up my old S90 almost a decade ago...
Remember this the other year and to quote a bit of the article https://www.deadlinenews.co.uk/2018/05/10/mum-of-t...

I’ve been alright up until recently as my car has a relatively small (61l) tank. Pay at pump is getting frustrating now though, surely time to review limits?!

Yep, did my first £100 max fill up the other day, car still wanted more but for the first time, didnt get it. So now im going to start experiencing 'shrinkflation'... price will stay the same at £100 a fill up, but actual volume of fuel and predicted range will slowly drop. Question is, do i sell my 3 litre car now while its still worth something, or just ride it out till it dies- though could be years yet...

My first ever fill up of the car at £90 this week.

Well tbh it was about £45 tops the rest was just more tax for the government to pish up the wall on more bullcarp climate change and green bull.

I filled Mrs V.'s car up this morning. It's got a massive 35 litre fuel tank. biggrin It was on 1/3 full and still cost me £45. I remember last year filling it and struggling to hit £30!
