Thank you, Chun! My words got to you! Enjoy the Holidays.
Let's pray for a Xmas miracle in which you grow up.
Don't do that! Use that mystic energy for something worthwhile.

I never understood the attraction of the LFA. The car does not look that great, the engine even for the time was less powerful than others, it is impossibly cramped inside and it came with Toyota's commitment to street performance - which does not exist. Current prices are simply due to the fact that there weren't many produced since they did not sell when new - that is, it was not an attractive car relative to others. High prices for the LFA now do not change the fact this was a dud. Anyone now buying one of these will simply park it and seldom, if ever, drive it. Let the hue and cry of LFA fan boys begin.
Yet most auto journalists including Clarkson say its the best car they have ever driven.
Clarkson's endorsement did little for the LFA's commercial appeal. Maybe the problem was that it is just a Toyota. Or, maybe the problem is that Clarkson has little authority.
I think you may just have broken the record for cramming the most nonsense into the fewest words.
Thank you, Chun! My words got to you! Enjoy the Holidays.
I don’t think you’ve come out of that little exchange as well as you think.
Then please read everything again and focus on my words rather than your attitude. Or use that attitude to continue your whining.

There’s only one person whining here mate. Unfortunately you’re just not interesting enough to read your previous posts so on you go.

Spleen, Make some substantive point about the LFA refuting my assertion that the car was not a commercial success. Or write something about LFA recent pricing being merely about rarity and not functionality. All you have done in your recent writing is continually whine, which may well just be your character. Or, perhaps, you don't recall what was written.

Just spent the morning being shown around this one a the Lexus dealer here in Japan - moved it around out of the parking space & fired it up - answered a lot of my questions etc.

I’ve seen a few up close here but never in this spec

The sound is always amazing

I was involved in the launch of these & had the pleasure of driving one in anger. The noise is worth the money for sure. This now has to be my new favourite colour, love it.

It's lovely in that green, it matches the design's balance between aggression and elegance much better than paler or more vivid colours.

I also love that all Lexus signature vehicles come with a bit of (rather transparent) apocrypha about their development. The "too responsive for an analogue tacho" gets trotted out for the LFA, which is good for a giggle...

I have heard one being driven with purpose on the street in Western Canada...absolutely amazing sound, maybe even better than the Porsche Carrera GT.

Toyota one of the few car manufacturers producing genuinely fun and engaging enthusiast cars.

Initially Clarkson panned it in an episode when Hammond championed the car. It wasn't till many years later he called it the best car he'd ever driven. I don't think anyone gives El Baboon's opinions that much credence anyway, do they? smile
