I get purposeful, I think the 037 and Delta are both wonderful. Without the racing history all you have there is an awkward looking thing.

last week I saw those seats in a Corvette C2 coupe, I thought they look lovely and way better then the original seats for holding, but also for sporty looks.

are those Tillett seats?
wonder would those also fit in some older Porsche's ala 977? I guess so since they are not wide, maybe also for many more cars.

I think those vette seats could work, without the mass of carbon fibre on show. That, IMO, is what makes them look too period incorrect.
