A bit over budget unless you're a haggling Jedi, but this looks very clean (superficially, at least, I haven't looked at the MOT history).

There is sooooo much want for this in the Mr. Nicks90 corner of this esteemed thread. It is actually perfect. EXACTLY what I am after.
Unfortunately my persuits for a suitable barge have been thwarted by a) my last barge dying b) the wife insisting we keep the xc90 c) spunking 4 grand on ripping out the guts of my home office for a complete refit - draining the coffers.

Which I am sure will be mega once finished, as befitting a powerfully built director type captain of industry (Ermmmm...)

Edited to add : I am neither of those fine builder type chaps, before you ask.

LS460 near the top of the Cairngorm mountain road smile it's not too shabby this area, nice to be back after many years!

Looks great. Would make a much better bedroom wall poster than some generic hypercar surround by an inappropriately dressed person draped all over it.
It could also be the new Friday special - The posters own car, preferably with a suitable number of cylinders, in a great location.

What is the thread consensus on the Jag XJS?

They are getting mighty close to thread budget and I think they're such a unique car.
Way back in the bad old days. when this thread was out of control and abuse was rife, there was a ringleader named CdG. Now, I shouldn't say too much in case any overlords are offended, but he was rather partial to the XJ-series. In fact, he would often compare one to his 560SEC, which always struck me as a little unfair on the big, tall, heavy and teutonic Merc, but there you go.

Send us the forecourt shot, chum.

Appreciate V12 powered Mercs are not plentiful but in the sea of ropey W140s would anyone seriously consider parting with six large for this?!

Might stop some of the better posters from being taken down by the snipers present around these parts!

Ian was spotted in a Sainsbury's car park yesterday. Probably loading up with supermarket's value gin. As it can be seen the guy is lost without the thread support.

Don't be foolish man.

If he'd been there for the gin, he would have brought the trailer.

Well let’s be fair, the boo-boo idea didn’t work out too good! hehe

Toureg V8 , £3200.

CLK V8, 3.5, I remember the pics and possibly some comment when it was thread max. Possibly because of the added dame Edna chrome.

That's a very keen price if it's as tidy as it looks.

This thread is worth a read if you are genuinely serious on one. I wouldn't say Jamie has OCD with the car but he is very thorough with the mechanicals.

Thanks I will read. I'm definitely serious at this price range as I really think they could go up in value quite significantly.

Worst case you are unlikely to lose monies on it so all it is going to cost you is maintenance and insurance and how bad can a British built V12 be? jester If there isn't a forecourt shot by the end of the weekend the elders here will be disappointed. At least those that are left that is.

I'm spent up for now unfortunately, otherwise I would!

I believe these are a flat 6 rather than a V12 so maintenance may not be too bad.

That sound would be fantastic in a sports car. Not so much an S Class, in my humble opinion.

I think you mean straight six smile

Fairly robust engines by most accounts. Rust is the main killer as usual with older cars
