I wonder what a sprints worth?

They look far better with bumpers quite frankly, and that paint looks like it is hiding some horrors...
How about now?

Sorting through some old boxes of stuff at the weekend and found this. Love that colour:

I have that very brochure plus a bunch of other Alfa ones from that period.

I also had a Sprint, despite that colour. And a primrose yellow Spider; very 70's.

Personally, I always like the red, black and silver ones, more so when they because they became the only choices for the halo models; the 105 Green Cloverleafs & GTV6's.

I bought a new , red 1350Ti from that shower . A638 RJO I think .
I owned A638 RJO!!! Lost my virginity in it to my girlfriend at the time who I ended up marrying. Sold it to C W Lear Alfa specialist in Keighley (who I always went to) because I couldn’t afford to keep paying to fix it LOL
Wish I had put it in storage, love Alfasuds, had a few of them.

Eeek !!! Not sure anything so exciting happened during my custody - apart from the wipers colliding mid screen, door not closing properly and random electrical faults . It wasn't a patch on my 1978 1350Ti as that car was far lower geared - 5000 in 5th was about 80 - so it was wonderful on twisty B roads .

But A638 RJO did have what I think might have been the comfiest seats I have ever experienced . As you and your wife doubtless found out ...

Peak Sud right there.

Also, the Bertone coupe is one of my all time favourites.

As for the GTV is that a 6? And is the 2.5 or the 3.0 SA one? I cracked 135 for the very fist time in a 2.5 back in the early 80's. Also had an epic drive from Edinburgh to Mull and back in it. Extraordinary sound track.

That is my perfect Sud spec - Red 1.5ti with pepperpot alloys

Are they still as good to drive as I remember?

back in 1982 I had a lovely 33 1.5 I think...white with all the skirts. Drove pretty good, nice acceleration up to 70 then wheezed a bit. The torque steer was fun....sold it in 1983 and never saw it again. Electrics were woefull.....

The GTV is a 2.5 V6, just turned over 100.000km from new. Bought from the first owner, maintained regardless of expense.

The Sud is a joy to drive. It had a bare metal restauration and full mechanical rebuild just before I bought it. I doubt that there are many in such good condition.

Both were bought in the Netherlands and owned by real enthusiasts.

The white Giulia remains my favourite. 1600 Nord motor (IMO the best version), full Alfaholics suspension, brakes and polybushed. Drives and sticks to the road very nicely. Not the world's fastest car, but allows you to have fun at non-licence-threatening speeds!

What a great collection.

Until recently I think Guilias were a bit forgotten here in the UK. For a long time they were by far the cheapest way into a 105 chassis. I think Alfaholics have changed that as they're done some really high profile Guilas oved the last 5 or 10 years.

Yours sounds fantastic.

An old colleague had one of these. When it was icy the drivers door would open but not close again... He says he'd have to drive along with the window open with his arm out holding it closed.
