Filled up with Esso diesel @ 189.9 in Porthmadog this week. Felt like a positive bargain after the 199.9 per litre in South East Kent.
Went shopping @ Tesco’s Cheriton yesterday and their diesel is still 195.9 so still more expensive in South East Kent.

Diseasle still high though
Wonder how much your lifestyle depends on the supply of 'Diseasle' ? scratchchin
Little to none as my electric and petrol cars are used the most.
You must be a saint to never:

- Buy goods from supermarkets delivered by diseasle trucks
- Get packages delivered by diseasle vans
- Purchase Chinese goods transported by diseasle ships
- Eat crops cultivated by diseasle tractors
- Travel on diseasle trains
- Hail diseasle taxis
- Attend outdoor events powered by diseasle generators
- etc, etc, etc

How on earth do you avoid all those diseasles? scratchchin
F'kin hell, climb down off your high horse and untwist your knickers. It's on old substitution for the word diesel that I decided to use for my own personal amusement, but you seem to have become mortally offended by it. :S
Just putting matters in perspective. Don't want to be narrow-minded and misinformed do we?

BTW unlike you, Thomas the Tank Engine spelt it appropriately - Diseasel not Diseasle hehe

Plus if you own anything, anything at all a truck brought it .
These will always be diesel no matter the advances in batteries.
Not always but for now yes. There are battery trucks coming and I’m sure we’ll see some hydrogen fuel cell trucks after that.

Not across the whole globe especially for third-world countries. JCB have developed hydrogen powered ICE (nee diesel) but even that's an imperfect solution.

Technically, they're just testing another company's hydrogen engine, doing some PR and claiming some government grants. In reality, Bamford is investing in his mate's hydrogen business in Aus for the carbon credits that JCB will need to be buying to reach carbon neutrality.

All the hydrogen from the green projects are destined for energy production and fertiliser. And we are currently living through the exact reasons why those two markets are essential. biggrin

Yeah….filled up with unleaded at 178.9 and drive past a day later and it was 173.9.

It’s pretty sad when you’re pleased to see low 170’s.
171.9 at Asda for unleaded now. Tamworth Sainsbury's and Morrisons will follow soon no doubt.

Still expensive in my village. I had to venture out yesterday to buy some UL for the lawnmower, my first fuel purchase this year. £8.22’s worth I got into my can, not even a full gallon. All my grass is dead as well. A bad day.

Still mid 180's in Horsham for UL, that said, local big tesco is more expensive than the local shell thats 30 seconds up the road.

Goes to show that supermarkets aren't the cheap go to they used to be.

Do people think like this? I know millionaires that would rather pay £10 less for the exact same product given the choice. Anything else is foolish.

I’d rather save the tenner and set fire to it in front of the more expensive garage owner…

Sainsburys at Hempstead Valley in Gillingham was £1.70 for unleaded this morning that's the cheapest I have seen it anywhere since fuel started sky rocketing.

I'm sure there will be a fuel price app, in which case while the price of petrol can vary so much at the moment, it has to be worth just checking where the cheapest is on a route.

My local still 165.9 for unleadded. I was travelling a bit yesterday so tried not to put too much in at other filling stations as I knew when I got home I could get the best price. Filled up this morning.

181.9 for unleaded here in my local town (Wiltshire), some pretty incredible variation around the country.

Sadly we don't have an Asda petrol station to start a bit of a price war. Even Bath (a few miles up the road) is substantially cheaper.

I drove by an Esso garage in a small village yesterday and diesel was £1.859 and there are a couple of Jet garages in another village have diesel currently at £1.799.

In the past these same garages were some of the most expensive.

PetrolPrices.com app is OK. All relies on manual reporting though, so can be out of date especially for the super grades.

I’ve often wondered how hard it would be to get dashcams with trackers to recognise pole signs and upload the info. It’s a somewhat tightly defined problem but probably no money in it.

I was rounding for ease...

If you're gutted over a tenner, Id hate to be near you when you realise more costly errors

I’d hate for you to be near me at all, you appear to be something of a whopper smile
