Diesel down to £1.50 on my fuel card this week, even with the £30 a year charge its a decent saving.
Who are you with? I've got a Uk Fuels/Texaco card and it's £1.449 + 1p a litre service charge this week, and I think the card is £18 a year.

Royston Herts Tesco last night E10 1.469, E5 1.559.

That E5 figure would’ve horrified me not that long ago, now it seems ‘reasonable’….

Something been in the news where diesel prices are so high because the retailer margin is 10% more than petrol, even though the the wholesale cost is less than petrol.
So all those who drive a diesel are getting massively screwed over. I've done a simple comparison and for me a 44mpg diesel vs a 38mph Petrol with the mileage I do is actually only slightly cheaper by £50 (a year) for my diesel car. It's silly to comprehend that a boring family diesel car is no better off than say a 2.0T hot hatch on an eco run. Bare in mind I eco run the diesel and only get 44mpg due to traffic.

UK fuels/Texaco too. Current price £1.51. Ive got a Shell card too but dont tend to use it. Cards are £2.40 a month. Only about 11000 miles a year so not one of their big spenders!

Yes, I never thought of that. Sainsbury's (Irvine) have now dropped it to 150.9 whereas Sainsbury's (Prestwick) has it 158.9, despite only being less than 10 miles apart.

Diesel still £1.64 or so here (North Yorkshire village) Maybe it's just BP being robbing bds, but it does seem rather slow to dip around here..

Nope. Same price in South Yorkshire at BP, Texaco, Tesco, Morrisons. Petrol is £1.43. Think us Yorkshire folk are getting ripped off.

Well considering Saudi producers have just announced a cutback in production of at least 1 million barrels per day in an effort to drive crude prices up, which is predicted to give a 10% rise tomorrow when markets open then the answer to the thread is probably never.

For sure Governments, ours in particular are never going to reduce their rapacious desire for the tax revenue.

The countries producing the crude, well that's evident from para 1.

The oil companies and refiners more of the same breed.

So never.

Fuel prices at the pump seems inline with inflation. 20 years ago 95 RON was circa 83-85 pence per litre (I used to get 40-60 miles per £10 in my old MK3 Supra) ... and 97-98 RON around 93-95 pence.
