I had it in 3 really with "some sort of cobbled up wannabe".

Then on number 4 I put De Tomaso Pantera, which in many ways was a cobbled up wannabe!

Darn it! I had vibes of the correct answer straight off but hesitated and went more...red...3 goes got me back to the hunch. Not an example in it's purest form...but so few are...still a bit of Tom left in it though.

Knew I’d get it as soon as I saw the first pic. The spindly A pillar marked it out as being from my era and none of this modern muck.

Still took me 4 goes though, but in my defence I don’t think the car is totally standard (could be wrong about that).

Yep the poorly applied window chrome (and the fact that it even had chrome) meant my era and low volume sports car maker. Got it in 2 but really wasn’t sure. My other guess would have been Jalpha.

For the first 3 I skipped or made guesses, I had no idea. On 4 I put Alpine A310 because of the window and intake shape (thinking of it from memory because no googling ), then the answer was obvious on 5
