Bring back the staggered deep dished wheels, these look a little cheap and flimsy to me.
They come with the 19" cast 'traditional' wheel - sounds a lot more sensible than wasting more money on the 20" forged-chocolate ones.

The 20" don't look stupidly-large on the B5, but they do here.

Lovely - this, BMW, is what we want!

More subtle / understated design and great performance. Would love to have a B3 estate some day
20" wheels/stickers down the side and on the front, plus massive quad pipes doesn't strike me as subtle!

The perception is that Alpinas are subtle, but the reality seems a lot different to me.
+1. Passed an Alpina B5 on the M3 the other day. Lovely car, but far from subtle. In reality the side stripes don't look as good as you might think either.
You can order without side stripes and without badges. The grill is way less offensive than on regular bmw 4 series not to talk about M4..
Inside its lovely! If i ever will spend this money on a car, the B3 touring will be high on the list.

A near on £10k price hike for the B3 with only a bit more power and power fold mirrors now standard not the £150 option they were!

Not happy about that and also noticed the laser head light option has been dropped!

M front seats now available as an option which is good BUT only with the basic "pleather", not on the merino or lavalina.

Not keen on the ipad dash either compared to the previous layout.

I had Sytners demo for a few days last year and put it through its paces on the Brecon Beacons, its a fantastic "do it all" car.

Was about to place an order and had finalised spec, paid an initial deposit (which they still have) but had to put the oder on hold due to house renovation costs so will now have to have a rethink about it all for when the time is right. Need to see an LCI in person.

Would be interested to read your review, BSSBMW.

I'm always a tad sceptical when journalists rave about a particular car - axes being ground & all that.
