Everything looks shiny where it should – like the paintwork

You would think even the most basic of car enthusiasts know that yellow was not an option so must be a wrap. The next question is why?
I thought the standard colours suited the car quite nicely. Makes you wonder what the state of the paintwork is under the wrap.

Pistonheads don’t do themselves any favours with comments like the paintwork even looks shiny

Come on guys get a grip

It's Latin...
"You ask me do I love you - does the Pope live in the woods? Quad erat demonstrandum, baby - "
"Oh, you speak French!"

"Airhead" by Thomas Dolby, from the album "Aliens Ate my Buick".

I'd go with the opening song though, "The Keys to Her Ferrari". Particularly the spoken bit halfway through. "And then I saw her - she was a bright red '64 GTO, with fins and gills like some giant piranha fish ..."

I was about to correct with ‘er, it’s Latin...?’, but I’ve learned something new (and I reckon to be a music buff!)
As for the car, I’d love one but the yellow just doesn’t sit right for me; some cars seem to suit it (thinks; Speed Yellow on a Porsche, or Giallo Fly on another famous Italian marque) but this just doesn’t. Saddo that I am, I’d go with the more traditional red.......

Finally got an extended test drive in one of these last weekend. It's true, they are very impressive cars and if I could afford to run one as a daily driver then I wouldn't hesitate. However, I was looking to replace my 997 C2S as a weekend car. I'm sorry but at the weight they are (and occasionally feel), the slightly laggy power delivery and the generic zf box (no better in operation than the one in my 335d) they aren't THAT good. Much preferred driving the 911 to and from the Alfa dealer than the test drive itself. Short version: it's not a sports car and anyone who says otherwise needs to go out and drive a dedicated one (ideally manual or dct, normally aspirated) to remember the difference.
Who told you it was a sports car?? U thinking of the 4c??
This is more of a sports car than the mess that was the 4C.

Well here's one review which suggests as much:
https://youtu.be/ZaM-TUFUUS8

Daily driver rather than weekend toy is what I meant I guess and I was expecting the latter. My point is that it was heavier, less involving and less remarkable than the the majority of reviews lead me to believe. Perhaps I've just been spoilt over the years.

The stability control systems aren’t binary either, based on every other review I’ve read the DNA selector cycles through different levels of slip and race is fully off.

I really like these and think it looks pretty good in yellow, however the stock colours are lovely and really suit them.

I think they’re an interesting alternative to an M3.

I’d buy that, wrap it in metallic red or green, get it converted to manual, and then keep for ever.

It seems to have a high ride height. Is that normal for these?

Each to their own I guess.

Someone is potentially in for a world of pain buying this motor....

Looks good but like all these types they are just not special enough to justify the cost to buy and run.

Tens of thousands of M3's, M4's, RS4's and C63's in the UK alone, would suggest otherwise.

Been following the prices of these for the past 12 months and they have stabilised after shooting up by approx 20%.
For a while there were very few coming to market but supply must be easing as I get an alert most days now and prices are finally starting to come down.
I’m still looking for one to replace my 911 C2S and my current daily as they are practical, reliable and a lot of fun. Shame they never came in estate form but Alfa bet on the Stelvio. We’ve already got an SUV so don’t want another.
Even though it’s quite heavy it drives like a much lighter car but the best bit is the soft suspension button which makes it very useable on our terrible roads. So much better than trying to conquer potholes with stiffer lower suspension.
They do have niggles but are well documented and a great community of owners out there on the forums. Even a WhatsApp group who are very friendly and helpful.
They will probably know this car and will be able to give you the history.
This one has been wrapped/painted and the wheels spacers are a bit of a warning sign so probably still a bit of haggle room if there is a good car lurking underneath.
Overall great cars and a nice alternative to your usual AMG, M or RS4.
Absolutely nothing like a 911 too if you were wondering.

You could get a manual in Europe but the general consensus was it wasn’t very good and the auto suited it better.
I’ve only driven the auto and thought it was very good. For the road I think it might be a bit too much of a handful with a manual as it delivers massive dollops of power. Probably fun on track though.
