That thing is incredible, interesting g to see what they get at 3.30, be surprised if they dont find a second and get into the 38s.

I know not everyone is keen on EVs but this is amazing.

So is goodwood back to allowing proper all-out record attempts now?

Has anyone told the F1 teams??
Goodwood does what Goodwood does...

It's why you have known 'recreation' cars getting star billing at Revival (and some others with some very 'unusual' mods...) whilst Lord March goes on TV to whinge and claim lightweight E Types made by Jaguar themselves would never be permitted as they're 'replicas'.

It's all very different from the days of the first FoS, where he was out at 11pm the night before in overalls roller painting the bridge over the drive. Times have changed...
Yes of course. Just watched the george Russel "run" in the 2019 f1 mercedes with the commentators taking great pains to explain how they cannot warm the tyres, and go quick enough to get the aero to work.... oh. Ok then.

Shame the second commentator doesn't understand the difference between "average speed" and "speed over the finishing line".
I was watching the live stream yesterday and someone else commented the same. Goodwood replied to them and said the speed is the average speed of a x metre section before the finish line. So bit of both really

Ok, I take it back, Chilton just did a 39.140 just now. That's an unofficial record.

I apologise.
And although he is the development driver for the project, that was his first drive up the drive in it.

The fact that you could hear the gasps from the crowd at Mulcombe tells you how impressive it must have been to watch.

Horrendous thing to have as the lap record holder. Here's hoping they let some properly fast ICE hillclimb stuff run next year to get the record back.

Might as well try and beat the record riding a horse.

Times have moved on.
