I swear this car is white, grey, mushroom and beige. All in the same press release.
Squints a bit harder

I have this horrible feeling that NHS hearing aid beige is the next trendy colour, in the manner of the recent undercoat grey obsession. Having seen what seems to be a demonstrator Tesla in a similar sort-of-beige-mushroom Tesla in the village this evening, this is my entire sample size, so it must be true.

I mean, if BMW said I absolutely had to have one (oh no!) then a dark colour would hide THAT nose. And I suppose I could park it arse-end towards the house. It will be interesting to see if the chassis is any cop.

£80k basic for a tricked up 3 series estate, I suppose it’s cheaper than the tricked up 5 series saloon!

Painted roof looks a bit low rent in the line up.

Am I getting used to it, or does that grille look less awful than it did?

Otherwise, yes please!
Graduated exposure therapy!

I like this, long time in coming etc.

Are the old skool M BMW roundels going to be used on all M Models from now on?

Another big like from me. I really dislike their current dial design though. Shouldn’t it be possible to offer other configurable design options for the screens?

Instantly cooler than the saloon/coupe and indeed the proportions make the nose look less worse.

I’d still go RS4 or lightly used RS6 as I feel the overall day to day package is better (including looks)…. M3 better drive (I assume this will drive same as saloon) but I still want something to look back at when it’s parked.

Possibly the best looking of the three variants, though it still looks odd from some angles, and there are some nasty details. Honestly though, it feels like a bit of an anti-climax in a way. It feels like they've been stringing this story out for months, but we pretty much knew everything already.

This is the one to have isn't it.

Never thought I'd take an estate over the coupe or saloon.

That's quite a bit bigger than the normal touring..

So really it's a 5 series in old money

It's going to weigh a hell of a lot..

Alpina touring for me over this

That’s three of us now who expressed that opinion.

Love this new m3 touring. If I had the eleventy million pounds needed I would be buying one as the perfect all rounder.

Why would anyone buy this ghastly thing instead of the Alpina?

I am going to sound like a stuck record but as per other posts the Alpina touring would be my choice.

This is just a mess styling wise.

Never mind the awful grill, what is the zit between them?

Guessing nice interiors can be configured instead of that awful combo.

I loved the thought of this but those wheels dont do it any favours, those seats would ruin my old man back, and that grill still looks like dastardly and mutley, there are also some weird vents, i think it just trying a bit to hard, i am sure its a great drive though, not sure i would purchase this though even if i had the cash.

You can’t spec a towbar from factory

Five now. I’m in. The BMW has, I’m sure, a wonderful chassis and powertrain, but its grille and black wheels are too vulgar for my tastes.

The Alpina in the above spec/colour is almost perfect. Almost. Just convert the black grille back to chrome and I’m in. Tan leather inside. Mmm.

Question - diesel Alpina or go the extra mile for the petrol?

I'd have this over the saloon, but my choice would still be the coupe though. I seem to have a 2 door car fetish for some reason, and I always associate 4 door cars as being the practical and sensible(boring) option.
