Careful as could be accused of being someone "who thinks he's above everyone else" for understanding such seemingly elementary concepts...
Poor form as that was another poster you have quoted and not me.Overpriced is overpriced whether alternatives exist or not either absolutely or relatively.
I bought a bag of nuts today for £3.49. They were definitely overpriced.
I was feeling wild so went big. Go big or go home after all...
So I went home with my expensive nuts.

I think so too, I think they have made every model since progressively uglier and with a bigger grill so this and the 1 series now actually don't look too bad .
The original press releases showed the M cars without a number plate and in contrast colour schemes, so you got full impact.Presumably (despite the initial "fu$& you" response the BMW gave to criticism) they've got the message and they're now playing it down to the greatest degree possible.
Can imagine BMW law department pouring over Dukec's employment contract and looking for the cheapest way out...

All anyone needs is my £3.49 pack - anything more is for pretentious fools..and I am always right.
Having seen it in the flesh yesterday it doesn't get any better. Too many angular, sticky out bits and flashy bits for my taste. Got worse when various m-performance parts were added. The M bucket seats are a joke in an estate, side bolsters that wouldn't look out of place on a GT3 RS but if you are using the estate for general duties they impede getting in/out quite a lot and will no doubt wear quickly with regular use. Inside generally better and a nice place to be. An estate as shouty as a Lambo which is perhaps what your dog would want.
As many have said the better looking car is the B3 and D3 which is on the Alpina stand a few hundred metres away.

The Daytona Violet one looked awesome. The Matte Black one did look too Kev'd up with all that Halfords looking CF tat. Those seats would indeed be impossible to live with. The side bolsters would indeed wear through in a few weeks of normal use. About the same time as your right hip trying to get in and out of them.As many have said the better looking car is the B3 and D3 which is on the Alpina stand a few hundred metres away.
Overall, I was impressed. This is one of the last great ICE cars that you could keep and run for a few years and 100K miles. It's going towards EV whether we like it or not. I'd have one of those Renault 5s if it was an ICE Turbo!

You can have lesser seats, black/grey/usual somber interior that people then say looks boring. Then go for under the radar grey and sorted. As many have said the better looking car is the B3 and D3 which is on the Alpina stand a few hundred metres away.

The carbon seats don’t wear out at all plenty have done 10’s of 1000’s of miles and hold up just fine Overall, I was impressed. Don’t get me wrong they arent for me so I didn’t spec them but most people get on just fine with them and find them very comfortable

Agreed. What BMW demonstrated on the stand was a clear focus on the young rich man without a family spec who is perhaps trying to attract a girl to start a family that night whom might be impressed with a lary estate with 2 bucket seats and a mattress lying down in the boot and over the rear seats from which to consumate such a family. The rising tow bar was obviously not added as an option so that said young rich mans chosen consummating partner wouldn't make any direct comparisons to the gigantic rhino rise appearing from the depths of the rear undercarriage (of the car) and his own rise. All to the backdrop of a DJ and lights knocking out some ph(f)at beats. Escort3500 said:
Amazing performance
Ridiculous price
Awful buck-toothed front and prolapsed rear
All cars are ridiculously priced. When you think about it, it makes a Lotus Emira seem crazy. For £5k more you get more performance, more seats and a bigger boot and a nicer interior Ridiculous price
Awful buck-toothed front and prolapsed rear
For the avoidance of doubt, my comment is tongue in cheek, but when saying it's ridiculously priced I think one should at least give a reason as to why they think that and give an alternative which is considerably cheaper (because if it's only a bit cheaper then this can't be "ridiculously" priced. I'd be looking for 4WD estate cars with similar boot capacity, 500bhp and similar performance for, say, £60k? Anything over £60k wouldn't make this look "ridiculously priced".
Be keen to see what other 500bhp estates are out there for much less.
