480BHP and 540LbFt with my TMIC. The flow limit is my turbo exhaust housing size, it wont flow anymore. I could get 600BHP on this setup with a larger turbo.

It works better than the majority of FMIC for charge cooling, you are not blocking airflow for the radiator, the Intercooler has less restrictive airflow through the core, the pipe run and subsequent volume of air to fill on spool is less and the weight isnt hanging out the front either.

On cruise my charge temp is 1 degree above ambient, which is particularly amusing in winter.
I forget the detail but on a V1/V2 the inlet to the throttle body is 180 degrees different to later cars so it takes some fabrication to get round that and introduces a big bend in the pipework which makes efficient flow difficult.

Impressive numbers from your car!

I love the turbo noise and have a GpN straight through pipe too - sounds great.

Neither is the one on the person i replied to.

Mine is very trick core material. Highly efficient.

Inlet to the throttle body is the same, the early cars had a 90 degree inlet on the turbo compressor, which wasn't good once you start to flow more air.

One of the first mods was to machine off that 90 degree inlet and have it breath through a straighter run as the later cars do.

Underbonnet area needs a valet, but this is my car. MY05 JDM STi Widetrack Blobeye. I've owned this 13.5 years.

Great looking car.

I'm very tempted to get some work done on the Hawk Spec C Type RA but it's bone stock and it would be a shame to start modding it now.

That intercooler looks trick - after a lot of faffing I just went for the biggest off the shelf one i could find and we (the garage I use) started cutting and welding to make it fit. Can you get them made to measure? Would be interested to look in to that - it ust be fun as you said on a cold winter morning :-)

You can buy them from Chevron in Stafford, they sell different spec units. Mine is using the highest spec core material which i don't think you can even buy now, as the core was hand made (very expensive), not just the end casings. Most core materials are made on a machine then you cut them to the size needed for the end tanks to be attached to. The current spec full race items still work well.

I bought this car with every intention of keeping it stock, but it didn't take long to change that, the main thing i wanted was to keep the spool of the TS and not lose the low down torque, as it's mainly used as a daily driver, so i did a lot of work with Owen Developments trying multiple versions of turbo until we found the sweet spot. That's why my turbo has a speed sensor on it, to help with the development.
