These might not be the best examples, but off the top of my head, if Jim Ratcliffe can start Grenadier, Czinger can develop 3D printed cars that can go 280mph, SSC can make a car faster than Bugatti Koenigsegg and Pagani can launch fully-fledged hypercar brands as basically start-ups, Lee noble can produce his own super cars in a shed that were competitive with much larger brands, why wouldn't this bloke be able to do this?

He's a billionaire from creating a now-public company, he's a racing driver, he's built a track in NZ to develop his cars, he's bought the rights to the Lotus project, he's been working on it 10 years - seems like the ingredients are all there

Much like GMA building hypercars is only a small part of what Koenigsegg do. Horacio Pagani didn't exactly start from nowhere, he was a hugely respected figure in the car building world and a pioneer in carbon car building before the Zonda was a twinkle in his eye. As for the Grenadier, they traced a Defender and it's yet to be seen whether that'll be successful.

Again, they didn’t build it. Lotus did. They just fabbed aome titanium bits for it.

This like me building a Caterham kit car and claiming my next project is going to be building a fighter jet from scratch

Didn't realise that so many people were invested in a car we might some day see trundle up the goodwood hill at 20mph before never seeing again laugh

Isn't this eerily reminiscent of the Caparo T1?

We are invested in your potential 'de-investment'.

I drove past the factory in NZ in 2020, and there was a prototype of some sort do the roads of the race track attached to the factory. Seemed a genuine concern.

You're forgetting that this is a (largely) British car forum though. We Brits love nothing better than tearing others down, rather than aspiring to be successful ourselves.

Of course not but it’ll be faster than a Delta S4 around Estoril.
