All lovely cars - my reading of the supercar standard is that heads turn - anyone of these cars would do that.
Really? People dont really care about an old maserti or a GTR in my view.

I suppose Sunday is a good day for religious issues.

There are so many lovely cars on that list for me. smokin

The Supercar tag is stretching it a bit for almost all of them, but it is a great list of cars regardless though I reckon.

XJR220 “sky’s the limit” choice…really? I can think of a dozen Supercars I’d rather have. I’ll take an F40 or a 288 GTO thanks…

Me and one of my mates were at TOTB at Elvington the other week, and there was a standard 720S going down the runway/drag strip, and we both said how slow it looked! It just shows how that event spoils you for fast cars I reckon(I've seen some mega fast stuff there over the years).

Never ever did I think that there would come a time when I'd describe a McLaren 720S as slow! Once the 720S is tuned up/modded...then I would imagine that it will be quick then though.

You do have to appreciate that they have cars running up to 2000bhp there though. So a standard McLaren 720S will look slow in that company.

Can a supercar have 4 seats/a back row of seats? The Gransport, Cerbera, 911 and GTR all do. I don’t think they qualify personally.

I agree. I own a Gransport, and its a GT car, really.

Beautiful and a real event, for sure, but no supercar despite the supercar engine.

Despite the fact that it runs 9s at the strip, on road-legal tyres. It’s a monstrously fast road car in standard trim. If you want to beat it with something standard, then it’s a 765LT, SF90, or a million-quid hypercar special.

Yes and I agree that it is clearly a fast car no doubt as standard, but I know of the owner of it and he usually drives really tuned up cars, so I think that in my head I was just expecting it to be much quicker than it was that's all.

I'm not trying to mock it, it just didn't look as quick as I was expecting it to be though. He will tune it though, and I'm excited to see where he goes with it. smokinthumbup

It’s all meaningless anyway, you can never use a 600 plus horsepower on UK roads for anything other than a nanosecond so 2000 hp cars are irrelevant other than on drag strips or bragging rights down your local Manor House

I really enjoy seeing all the really fast stuff at TOTB and I've been going there on and off since 2003. I remember going in the Cerbera as a spectator back in 2006, and I remember driving home thinking how slow the Cerb was! Cars that go/race there have so much power and performance for sure. cloud9

Oh, definitely interested in how far you can push it.
The Americans have got them into the 8s with 950 WHP, but they seem more difficult to tune than the mad turbo Lambos out there. Probably somewhat more reliable though.

A Cerb over a 997 turbo? And I'd pick the much cheaper Noble over an NSX, sure you could kid yourself the NSX was designed, hand built and raced by Senna himself. But that feeble engine wont save you from getting duffed up by hot hatches.

Re the Nissan GTR and the nitrogen discussion, I thought it was because the nitrogen molecules are larger than oxygen molecules and therefore less likely to escape and cause Tyre deflation.?
Anyhoo
I’d happily have any of the car on the (non-definitive list) although I’m sure that arguments can be made for the inclusion of many others
Of the list proffered I’d probably go for the GTR or 911 and run the risk of being classed as predictable….

Nitrogen is inert, and doesn’t change pressure with temperature as much as air does. They use it routinely for aeroplane tyres, which experience wide variations of temperature and outside pressure, because it leads to fewer tyre failures.
