Actually safety threshold occurs at 30mph (<50g accident criterion). Over 30mph and things get dodgy.

No I haven't despite running the gauntlet for many years

But I can construct a valid case for limiting cars to 30 mph max everywhere. Unusually it would be a speed limit based on sound logic even if effing stupid in reality
