I went with a PH friend in his M1 to the European M1 Club weekend in Switzerland this summer - there were 4 or 5 of the AHG cars there and some of them are stunning in the flesh - some have dubious colours though The ///M striped cars like that one work best and are quite lovely as an interim step to a full ProCar M1.
Reminds me of the BASF ProCar I saw many years ago. Up there with my favourite ever liveries cerb4.5lee said:
Turbos are impressive because of the performance that they offer for me. Most of the NA engined BMWs I've had have felt a touch flat at times in my experience because beemers mostly tend to carry a fair bit of weight. So I like that the turbos help to hide their weight better.
Whilst the S55 engine in the M4 doesn't sound all that great, it does spin around to its redline with a lot of enthusiasm still I reckon. Plus you don't get that limp feeling that you can get at low revs with many NA engines as well. The NA engine in my 370Z only really comes alive(in terms of any real shove) above 5500rpm for example.
The S54 engine in the Z4M did feel peppy at lower revs I thought, whereas the S65 V8 in the M3 could feel quite limp at low revs in comparison though because of the extra weight it was carrying.
I got a run in a supercharged E46 CSL once and the performance was fairly incredible. Only issue was it lost a lot of the induction noise as there was no room for the carbon airbox thenWhilst the S55 engine in the M4 doesn't sound all that great, it does spin around to its redline with a lot of enthusiasm still I reckon.
