What a beast of a car, and not a stupid 60" inch tablet in sight.

The videos of this car being thrashed around tell you all you need to know about the way it's been treated and why you should avoid.

I reckon it could take all the abuse and more, they were built right back then. Video is funny because the car sounds like it's got face-melting acceleration but it hasn't really hehe Would love to own it but it would need to be a quarter of the price.

Someone has done a nice job making the headers, but… big limos should be as silent as possible with a pillow soft ride. You would feel a total prat in this cruising down the motorway with a v12 super car racket behind you, bouncing over every join in the tarmac. Take the engine and headers and put them in an ultima if you want something that sounds like a racing car…. And goes like one too.

Thats like hearing at his absolute peak Freddie Mercury and looking round and seeing a 25 stone 60 year old bald bloke doing the most awe inspiring karaoke version of Somebody to Love and hitting all the high notes flawlessly.

Stupidly modified limo, left hand drive from Japan, which is a right hand drive country. Almost certainly an ex-Yakuza car.

Oof - that's lovely. Lwb I would guess but what engine out of interest? My dad had a humble 280SE a long time ago.

I think the engine alone can be worth a lot?

btw, although its sort of art to make such car sounds like a F1-ish car, its fun for 1 minute, any longer is anti social and childish me thinks.

a waste of money to make such exhaust, although light material ala a titanium exhaust is a plus, but I would like a good V12 sound, not a F1 screamer.

Such sort engine could be nice in some oldtimer mercs, although I guess it would ruin/tear the chassis apart with all the twisting.

maybe then better used for some lightweight-ish replica street racer sportscar.

Hell yeah!

Those tubular manifolds are just a work of art.

No wonder Horacio chose that engine.

The link to the FB vid shows what a hoot it is.

There appears to be something wrong with the price.

Please resolve ASAP.

I love it, but it's definitely the sort of car you wish your mate had, rather than buying it for yourself. Maybe join them on a sunday morning for a bit of noisy hooliganism, pub lunch and then head home in your car while they deal with the "F1 sound at 30mph" all the way home, plus the effects of said hooning on 30 year old component parts.

Blimey and that does sound immense. I wasn't expecting it to sound that good to be fair, however I still think that it is a bit of an odd car to do that to it though for some reason.

Yeah, plus it was $12k for the exhaust I think so even cheaper.

Not sure who this car is aimed at, clearly made for some of the modern 12 year olds who enjoy plastering their cars all over 'The GRAM' and getting other 12 year olds fawning over it, but then what 12 year old would have £55k to throw away on some crusty old eurobarge? confused

Great car, but my ‘holy grail’ of this era the w124 E60

Something about the E seems a bit better proportioned compared to the S to my eyes
Agreed, the S looks too 'fat'.

Also this particular car definitely has a strong drug-dealer/gangster vibe about it, big time.
Yes, but being from Japan it kinda adds to that Yakuza vibe, I can imagine it late at night outside some members bar in Ginza. For sure other Japanese motorists would avoid you at all costs!
The fact it's from Japan doesn't make it cooler to me - if anything, it just reminds me of dodgy geezers.

It's a lowered S Class with a noisy exhaust.

Shouldn't this be on the 'council' thread?
