Whats wrong with sitting in the back, unrestrained, playing I Spy and breathing in healthy lung fulls of parental fag smoke like most of us did ?
Ha! I remember to this day headbutting the centre console of Mum's Rover SD1 when she drove over a humpback bridge a little enthusiastically and met a car coming the other way...

the huge car care kit in the back will help to clear up the puke.

The baby monitor with an app to connect to your phone is surely the most ridiculous aspect though - just f*****g turn around?

My kids are older teenagers now.

I literally don't know how I managed without this kind of stuff.

Thank my lucky stars every day that I've managed to parent them this far.

I used a Porsche 968 as my first family car. It comes with two child seats in the back as standard, they're well protected by the B pillar, and the rear boot made an excellent changing mat with the open hatch keeping any weather off the little mite.

Its a shame modern parents think the answer to transporting a couple of 10kg mini-humans is a 2000kg SUV.
I had a 944turbo and did the exact same thing! smile
Well as we are gradually going down the line of prestige with transaxle Porsche’s, I did the same with my 924S smile

What happens when you want to go somewhere and carry stuff in the boot? It’s full of ste to clean up baby ste and what not. All you really need is Batmans utility belt surely? Then you could carry luggage or shopping or whatever else you want to!

Well I actually think the baby change thing built into the parcel shelf is a great idea! The rest of it, not so much.

In principle I’m not against any of this. However, once coated with Ribena and monster munch infused child vomit will render any style credits completely worthless.
The only child friendly solution is the cheapest box shaped shed available and let them trash it.

Haha, love it!

None of it is strictly needed (and some is quite "tat") but I think we should applaud the spirit behind the idea regardless.

I still don't understand what this does any better than an equivalent estate - or the X3 over a 3er Touring?

I mean, other than the obvious: worse fuel economy, smaller roof rack loading, more expensive tyres and other running costs, harder to park etc etc?

Maybe a Saudi style door-opening audio.

But instead of "May you have a blessed journey" in Arabic it's "No food or drink in the car - and are you sure you've peed *and* washed your hands?" in English.

Would have save my father a lot of breath.

We once went on holiday to France,

6 of us; two in the front, two in the back and two in the boot of my Dad's Cavalier hatchback....towing a 1969 Sprite Alpine in a gopping green with orange curtains.

That and eating white dog st made me the man I am today.

I thought exactly the same, until I remembered that when we left our sleeping kid locked in the car on the driveway, we use Facetime on another phone so we knew when they wake up. Easy solution so I would imagine its useful for then. But to advertise is monitoring a child that is 2 feet behind you - not great

Imagine the difference between working at a standard ~900mm high bench and one that's 650mm high - that's the main difference re. small children.

I'm not saying I dislike it, but it's certainly a huge tick on the "For" side of any man's "For / Against a vasectomy" list.

weird comparison, as working at a lower bench briefly is no issue - different if all day - so for the 30 seconds it takes to chuck a baby seat in the back at a slightly higher position, it is worth putting up with a SUV? ok...still don't understand it as a worthwhile trade - but then I put up with putting my daughter in the back of a GT-FOUR - so I guess I have different priorities

A Bambini Toenail sounds like something you'd take antifungals for.
