Looking at the price on the new Civic I reckon the auto Yaris will start with a 4. Say £42500 and 6.9.% finance ?
Civic was the comparison I was thinking of too. Company ethos is slightly different but I’d expect a lot less of these to be sold, and at a much higher (although not stratospheric) price. Could even see with options this pushing over £45k so you could easily double your monthly payment vs the 1st gen GRY.New one looks good, the interior for sure. looks like the designers have been listening to their customers
Should help push the early ones prices down, they've only just got under 25k but i would suspect the differences toyota has made and the end of PCP deals will see a lot of the early ones hit the market this year so could see £20k for a leggy one pretty soon, which is good news.
Ive still not seen many hyper milers yet though as still intrigued about longevity of the 3 pot.

Red, definitely red, looks stunning in red.the dash will probably look better in person, the press shots are always a bit meh.
rest of the improvements look good, I do think it'll start with a 4 price wise.
and I do see the mk1 cars dropping in price which is good for me as I plan to get one when they're around 20k mark.
toyota uk also says limited allocation to uk, the usual.. build up hype, sell out and make it hard to get. FOMO and all that. Hate that concept.

I was going to go with red but it really depends on the lighting imo. A cleaned car in the sun it looks great but it can look very dull outside of that. Almost maroon coloured. Main reason I went with pearl white. I don’t know why but red cars for me have to be a very particular shade of red otherwise I just can’t get on with it. To each their own, my daily is white and I also love it

Not sure about that. If this new one comes in at over 40k, then gen1 prices could strengthen if anything?Should help push the early ones prices down, they've only just got under 25k but i would suspect the differences toyota has made and the end of PCP deals will see a lot of the early ones hit the market this year so could see £20k for a leggy one pretty soon, which is good news.

I was looking at a two year old used example for £32k at a Toyota dealer last weekend. He said something along the lines of no more being made, can't remember the exact words he used. Then I read something about an updated 2024 model possibly being unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon, and now I'm mighty glad I held off! l'll be surprised if there isn't a hefty step up in price though.
Obvious negatives for me are still a poor choice of colours and the dashboard looks very van-like!

Was just going to post the same thing, I really would like one of these one day but £20k is my absolute ceiling for buying a car given that for me it's just a luxury really, I have absolutely no need to have a car so it's just a toy, and I've not done the AWD rally rep yet.In terms of future collectability, years down the line...
Will people want the original and pure manual original version, or the possibly better to drive, quicker (lets call it the) MK2 version?
Worth thinking about if you are uhming and ahing about swapping an original for the newer version, with the intention of them being "keepers".

Well, it looks like it’s happening, then! All looks good apart from the new dash - what’s that all about?! All my wife would like to know is does the Passenger seat still need resetting after you’ve moved it to get the kids in the back?
Pricing news will be interesting - less than £40k?
The passenger seat thing is the reason we can’t have one either!Pricing news will be interesting - less than £40k?
Spooky... I was only looking at these again last night.
I too love what Toyota have done with this, they're an absolute hoot to drive, though I'm not a fan of the piped noise (apparently it can be disabled).
Good to see the auto option but I hate digital speedos with a passion. Give me an analogue clock, even if it is on an LCD display.

Bit like the Clio V6, original raw version or slightly refined 2nd editionWill people want the original and pure manual original version, or the possibly better to drive, quicker (lets call it the) MK2 version?
