Why does the OCTA logo have four corners?

Could the Defender QUAD not have done the job?

Or is it specifically related to the V8 aspect?

Because a rhombus is a diamond.

Remember when JLR had that aggressive EV strategy? They've given up, haven't they.

Manufacturers seems to have decided they want a bit of the Kahn\Mansory market ...
What about this says Kahn/Mansory?

British manufacturer launches flagship V8 model, focussing on model specific performance, and you seem unhappy? Are you on the right website?

Back on topic - I hope they give the exhaust note of this more attention than in the new RRS SV.

The one my friend has just got looks lovely, but compared to my F-Pace SVR V8's rumble sounds decidedly anodyne.

What makes you say that? Just because they announce a new halo model with a V8....

All new Jag's are going to be 100% electric
The new smaller Land Rover platform is 100% electric
There's a 100% electric full size Range Rover coming out soon

That looks like commitment to EV's to me!

Here here!

Octa is NOTHING like a Kahn hack job with big wheels, stick on arches and zero Engineering. Octa sounds like it's going to be an extremely capable off-road beast with some amazing tech. I look forward to the videos of Octa's going airborne off a sand dune!!

"The latter also comes with the option of semi-active, interconnected electro-hydraulic flow valves that do away with the need for traditional anti-roll bars. So no prizes for guessing which car the OCTA is gunning for when you learn that the 6D Dynamics system that first appeared on the SV is also migrating to the Defender."

The McLaren 750S?

The Defender OCTA name and signature graphic are representative of the vehicle’s strength, resilience…
Hopefully, the above hype will also be “representative of the vehicle’s” real world “strength” and “resilience” – aka fit-for-purpose reliability and decent quality control.

A variation on the Mansory Mockery
Demographic segment. White trainers, camel coats and a latte. Good it has kerb specific tyres.
It will sell well.

What utter, utter pretentious W*ank. Life style image or something? In so many ways, I am not their target market.

Hope its like the Jeep 392 or Bronco Raptor, with decent suspension and proper off road tyres (not 22" low profile jobs)

Whatever your view, let's all be thankful that this article wasn't about JLR announcing the new line up of Defender EVs.

Every space has them to give plenty of room. Shame other car parks don't follow.
