It’s hilarious. One moment talking about reducing rubber emissions…..

Still, at least he’s not posting cringey pics of his other half rofl
I'm just wondering why you drive an i3 when you hate it so much? Seems very odd to chose something you do not like.

Been on track with it recently? And what's the spec?
Nope sold it to a German guy.

Dyno 350wbhp Honda K20A rebuilt to 2300cc with charge cooler and bespoke exhaust. 837kg with fluids and fuel.

It's around the cans these days or trips to France for fizz and Oysters. Still drive some nice toy cars in Tallinn when I'm there.
You have gotten old my man.

Amazingly some prefer driving to boats. Who'd have thought it on a motoring forum?
Some of us have more than one interest.

It's like someone programmed an AI bot to constantly give examples of being petit bourgeois biggrin

While perspective is important, for many people, cars are important and something they are very passionate about. You may deem other things more important, but perhaps they don't. There is nothing wrong with that - we're all different.

You might gain some perspective by remembering that.
Yes we certainly are all different. Hence it would help not singling out one person if you want to make a point of certain behaviour but talking to everyone exhibiting that same behaviour - especially the persons that started it. Because being different in not hating EV's certainly is a perspective not respected here. Shown in part by applying double standards to how some people behave. Certain behaviour is accepted from EV-haters but not from those that are open to EV's. It could help your perspective not making that distinction and expecting decency from all, not just people open to EV's.

And fyi: I have an MX5 with modified exhaust. Hope to buy an EV for a-b journeys and keeping the MX5 as long as I can for fun rides.

I'm sure in your head there is a meaning in there somewhere.
No, it's on the internet too ( https://www.quora.com/Why-is-member-a-slang-term-f... ) which, judging by your post count, is where you live.

Thinking that something is boring is different to hatred.

I'm not so sure this is decent car, or even one that makes any sense.

On the one hand I guess the average old fart, mild whiff of piss, mazza owner will be pretty happy to waft around on smooth and easy electric power, but on the other hand, they old boys will likely fear anything new and miss the burble of an engine.

That said, Maserati's have never made much sense to me! I'd always lean towards an Alfa if I wanted something Italian and fun. But the only way I can see this being a good seller is if it turns out the handling and dynamics are seriously good, which is possible in an EV, despite the weight. Would I trust Maserati to be the company that gets the dynamics right..? Nope.

The tanned middle aged mob in the south of France or California this is aimed at wont be driving it hard or considering an Alfa Romeo, who of course no longer offer a soft top.

It’s not a Ghibli vs. Giulia scenario.

That's fair enough. But I bet most of that mob will miss the engine note and probably like Maserati because of history/tradition and 'feeling', and probably aren't bothered about running costs or the environment etc.

The problem with selling a £200k EV convertible to those people, is that even if it's a good one, they can currently still buy a luxury petrol convertible from somewhere else. Come 2035 that won't be the case, but as of right now, it's a tough sell.

I also think that most EV adopters at the moment are also attracted to new car tech, which Maserati is terrible at.
